Been playing this since 1.3. It's a really fun game and worth the time ... you can see I've been playing this for years, ...there's a reason. When you find a good group of ethical players, nothing is more fun.
But. The cheating needs to be stopped. I left CS years ago due to the cheating and Valves lack of care about it. I came back to CS recently, as I was hoping they'd stopped all the cheats, but a simple youtube search will tell you, cheats are alive and well. Dodging VAC, and injecting aim hacks or seeing through walls. Not hard to do, apparently, and all Valve would have to do is report those videos for copyright and they'd be taken down. That coupled with real eyes in games banning cheaters (most are very obvious) would instill trust back in the community. This game has potential, but Valve needs to put as much resources and time into stopping cheating as they do game development. If you develop 1M games, and zero have integrity of play, what good are any of them?!?
I can only hope CS2 has some actual mechanisms, people and plans to shore up the integrity of this game, as it stands now, the myg0ts are loving it, and everyone decent rages.
