As someone who has never sat down to play D&D, Magic, or cares much for fantasy games, wizards or dragons- this game is a masterpiece and one of my all time favorites by a pretty significant margin.

Plays great on the steam deck! I had to map 3 or 4 major controls to make things easier- but it's doable and worth it, if you're a fan.

Game runs really well on my system. No hard crashes or game breaking bugs. Smooth FPS. I was expecting a lot worse on day one, especially for a large, living and breathing open world- but I was gladly mistaken. I'm not too big into RPGs and I know nothing about table top games or "Cyber Punk" in general, however the game has lots of character and a world that seems alive. I just want to explore more of it- talk to more people and find out everything about everyone and how this world works. I think that's what hooks me the most. They really nailed it there.

My extra two cents: CDPR was screwed no matter how they tried to deliver this title to us. If they delayed the game for another 8 months (even to fix ALL the bugs), people would riot- and THEN they would find something to complain about upon release. So they stuck to their word and delivered it to us as best they could by a certain date- and people are still upset. I'll give CDPR the benefit of the doubt, because they were the ones who bucked hard at the EA / Lootbox / Paywall / Expansion based game model and gave us a game that looks BETTER than what they showed in the Demo vs. the final release- and I agree with that. To me? That's worth the money and support.

Probably one of the best VR games ever made~ since it was made from the ground up. Definitely more horror with all the atmosphere of HL.

DCS is the best flight sim you can get by light years. As someone whose been playing flight sims since Sierra's A-10 Silent Thunder- everything that I've ever wanted to do in my aircraft, I'm able to do here. I've had to wait 3 decades.... but oh my God is it worth it. I can't describe or put into words the amount of love I have for DCS and the F-14- I just know my life is more complete with them.

This isn't Ace Combat "simulator". This is an actual simulator.

The only negative I have- is that it's taxing on VR than the other A/C, probably because of the detail and that it has to load the rio as well. Also- the smack lights, nav lights and formation lights are a little dim/dull for my taste when compared to the other A/C, but those are just nit picky things. I'm extremely happy with this.

Game plays surprisingly well on my rig. Started up without ANY issue. Unsure of the FPS in areas like Diamond City, but everywhere else thus far has been easily above 30 with no dips lower than that. Everything is here... and playing it in VR changes the entire game. Walking through a vault will never be the same. Things you normally just walk/run past sorta pop out at you in 3D. You can easily see more of the details the devs worked so hard to provide. I was honestly bummed at first when I saw we weren't getting a NEW Fallout and instead they were taking time to develop this.

It works though- and it makes me excited for the games in the future. I wouldn't recommend this OVER the original FO4 if you hadn't played either yet. But if you have VR and you hadn't played FO4 in a while, I'd tell you to check it out. At least see the first hour and a half in 3D and see if it's worth it to you.

As of right now:
-No crashes in over an hour.
-There is a resolution bug that is present. Resolution seems to switch from high/low in some areas. Unsure if it's my rig that is causing it since it's now on the lower end
-Works around 95% on Oculus Rift. You see the rift controller (not the vive). Controls work well and took all of 30 minutes to get used to. LIttle qwerks to be ironed out
-This is the entire FO game. Not something half assed and ported to VR
-Someone was able to get their DLC's to work in the game- so there's hope for that, although I'm unsure if I'd purchase it. This is a ALOT of game to take in with VR and changes up the experience quite a bit.

If you liked The Stick of Truth, you'll take to and love this game as it's very much similar to that one. I had a blast playing the stick of truck and I'm enjoying this one thus far. There are a few technical issues on day one- but nothing I know won't be patched in a few days.

If you're new to either The Stick of Truth or Fractured But Whole- if you like turn based RPG's and South Park then this game is a must try. I'd go with The Stick of Truth first as it is THAT similar of a game to this one. You can buy that game for super cheap now, find out if you like it- enjoy it's story and gameplay, then buy this one if you enjoyed it that much.

I tried the Stick of Truth on a whim a while back for the first time and totally fell in love with the old style turn based RPG. It also turned me onto watching more South Park which I never really got into. It's a well developed game that's worth playing.

It took me a while to think of what to write with this review. I personally LOVE iRacing and I enjoy AC from time to time. I'm all about the experience of the game as it comes as close as possible to reality for me. I hate the NFS series with a passion, and I don't particularly care for simcade games such as Forza 7.

When I first started playing PC2, I felt as though it was a simcade game through and through. I hated the handling. I hated the borderline retarded AI. I hated the fake sponsor names on the cars, and the fact that "Project Cars 2" is displayed all throughout the track while you're driving (as if you'd forgotten what title you were playing). I especially hated all the fan boys screaming about how amazing of a "simulator" this was and who were using their joypads to race. I hated the fact that Ian Bell kept caution laps and safety cars out of the game because he thought it was "boring". This right here tells me what the mentality of the development was, and it wasn't for realism.

It wasn't until I dialed in the wheel to improve the handling that things got SO much better for me.

You really have to spend time tweaking the handling of the game to get it to be playable for you. I've got 6 hours in and ALL of it thus far has been trying to get the handling worked out right. This is someone with a $1500 wheel and cockpit set up as well. No better on the lower end of the spectrum either from what I've read. Once you get the handling dialed in- the game really opens up and shines.

One of the main drawbacks for me is the AI. At times it ruins the game, how stupid they can be. Other times I can ALMOST forget that I'm racing an AI in place for humans. However things have gotten better after the last few patches.

The game plays VERY well on my older rig (specs below) and especially with the VR. This makes me happy. Driving a quick 6 minute race and seeing the rain let up, my windshield wipers stopping, and the sun begin to set while my lights turn on to illuminate the road in front of my is an amazing experience in VR.

PC2 IS a beautiful game and raises the bar for next gen sim titles. In my opinion, the handling and FFB of PC2 is RIGHT under or RIGHT AT AC's level (not a bad place to be at all). But the graphics, content, ability to stay in VR while going through the menus, weather, day/night cycle, Live Track, etc. help to push PC2 over AC for me. This will now be my go to "sim" racer when I'm not on iRacing. PC2 isn't a 100% simulator, but it does a really good job at trying to be one.

Oculus Rift

Here's everything I've had to do to finally get the handling in GOOD working order. I can now feel the back end kick out and quickly rescue it along with all the road dips and rumble strips that is normally felt.

1. Download Jack Spades FFB Setup files and read the instructions on how to use them on this site (I used the standard mid comp file):

2. My V2.5 Profile: Sen 540, FF 100, Sho 90, ABS 70, Dri -03, For 70 (or 80), Spr Off, Dpr Off, Brf 50

3. In game FFB settings: Custom, Gain 100, Volume 50, Tone 50, FX 65, Menu Spring .20

Assetto Corsa when you compare it to the other SIM racing games out there, is really the middle ground when it comes to handling / user interface / career mode / physics / multiplayer and graphics. It's really the best at none of them, however it's the only SIM game that does all of them well- and to me, that constitutes as a solid buy.

The game is amazing with a good wheel. If you're using anything else, you may not like the game as much since you won't be getting all the detail that you'd normally get with a wheel. I honestly say (from someone who loves iRacing) that the FFB in AC is miles above iRacing. There is SO much more detail felt through the wheel when playing AC than iRacing, but as I've said- where it does well there, it lacks in other areas when compared to iRacing- such as the online tier racing and penalty system.

The AI is also pretty terrible in AC. Usually it's the top 3 that will give you a run for your money, while the rest of the pack is completely useless and may as well not even be there. If you happen to raise the difficulty the the point where you're running in the middle of the pack, be prepaired to be cut off / rear ended / brake checked, shoved off the road ect.. This is where AC falls flat on its face, and where it pays to pay for a subscription w/ iRacing. It can be pretty frustrating at times. AC is either too easy where you'll be in 1st place with 2nd place trailing behind you by 15 seconds, or 1st will have completed the race while you're waiting for the green. There doesn't seem to be a good inbewteen. Honestly this really puts me off to the game. The whole point is to race against other drivers, but the AI system is so broken here, it makes me want to play something else.

Physics:
rFactor2 > AC > iRacing

Handling IRL (w/ wheel):
AC > rFactor2 > iRacing

Online Racing:
iRacing > AC > rFactor2

Graphics (subjective):
AC > rFactor2 > iRacing

Career Mode:
iRacing > AC > rFactor2

User Interface:
AC > rFactor2 > iRacing

AI:
AC is pretty bad.

As you can see from my scientifically proven chart above, none of the titles do everything the best. I wish there was, because I hate jumping from sim to sim. If you're just starting out in SIM racing, I would recommend AC since it gives you a good taste of everything. It's easy to navigate around, the graphics look great, the handling is realistic and fun on a wheel, the physics are good and there is multiplayer if you want to race with others since the AI is so garbage. But online can be a hassle too with drivers being just as bad as the AI.
