Interesting game, if a bit gruesome. Would be nice, if there was a bit more variety in fish you can eat. Also, at a certain size a barracuda is just not going to be attacking a shark. That sucker would be swimming away as fast as it can. Still, if you're looking for "realism", you are looking at the wrong game.

Probably final review update: (20230410)
As far as combat card games go, this is about as good as you can expect. It's very much PvP, pretty much exclusively. There are a couple of stand-alone single-player games that use the same mechanics, but different rules. Those games are very much adventure / board game style and pretty interesting. This game however has serious micro-transactions going on. You can beat people that have more money than sense, but sometimes you're going to be running up against a set of cards that just wreak you. The nice thing is that you don't need to pay a dime and can still get a lot of fun out it. The bad thing is that you could spend a small fortune on this game and still not end up with a full set of cards. In the event that you can control yourself and not spend boat loads of cash on the gambling mechanics. You could have a lot of fun. You can throw the devs a bone, if you like it. (I.E. buy the starter pack and/or a bit of other stuff to show your appreciation.) Which is what I did.

Updated Review: Fun combat card game. Can be a bit frustrating when you keep running up against a whatever the newest unbalanced set of cards is. Highly recommend working on getting some really good Neutral cards first, so you can include them in all faction decks. Since, it's not usually best to focus on keeping all cards in your deck as only current faction. Whatever you do, expect things to change, sometimes greatly change, between updates. In the event that you start to play and like it. Get the starter pack, if you think you will ever want to do a little. As getting it early, helps you more at the beginning, than getting any equivalent later. It's a fun enough game, just don't get sucked into the micro-transactions. You can spend an obscene amount of money on this game and still lose. Just play and have fun. Apparently, I had bought a start pack or something like it a long time ago. Spending a few bucks on the game is a nice thank you to the devs.

Old Review: It's a fun enough card game. It's almost exclusively PvP, with the ability to train against an AI opponent. You could sink a ton of money into the game and still get curb stomped. It's mostly about how you play, a bit less to do with what cards you have. Still, you're going to want to focus on getting some good, complimentary cards. When I got started, I focused on using my in game points to get good (gold) faction Neutral cards, so I could take my best cards with me, no matter what faction I played as. It's a good strategy, if you want to do the daily quests. Since a win X games with X faction comes up pretty frequently. I've not spent a penny on the game, except for buying the single player experience, Thronebreaker, "standalone" game. Buy it on GoG though, because another review said you don't get the bonuses (cards, and reward points) when you buy "Thronebreaker" on Steam.

As of review time: 120+ hours on Steam, 150+ hours on GOG.

The mini games are reasonably fun. The required login for their Geforce Experience software is anti-consumer spyware.

This is a fun game that a steam buddy and I played a good bit together, before he got bored. Really, there's not much more than a couple hundred hours worth of content here, if you're going for achievements. Still, it's a very fun Co-Op shoot 'em up.

Also, it runs reasonably on 1GB Radeon HD 6670, if you drop most of the settings to low. Then again, I'm also running at 1366x768 resolution.

Update December 2024 (60+ Hours on Steam):
Just saw a community patch update and decided I would give it a try. Trolls with Adamantine Blades are ruthless. Lots of fun to be had here, especially for those that want a bit more control over their game! From adjusting the rewards to deciding how big/small/plentiful cities and continents are, etc. Just so much love for the Classic Master of Magic! This will likely by my default Master of Magic to play for the foreseeable future. So many customizable features that you should have many a fun play-through without them all feeling the same.

Old Review (15 or so hours on Steam):
Like Sid Meier's Civilization, this game has city building, resource management, opponents, and world domination. Unlike Sid Meier's Civilization, you can control hero units, command armies into battle, cast overland spells, cast magic spells in battle, create artifacts for your heroes, or forgo most magic things and focus on normal units. The choice is yours!

Highly recommended for turn based game fans! Still highly recommended, if you've never played this type of game. Also, you might enjoy this more than the average Civilization game, if you never like the genre, this might be up your alley. It's more interactive and a lot of fun. :-)

A pretty fun Lego game. If you've enjoyed any of them, you'll likely enjoy this one too. I like the way they converted the scary scenes to humorous scenes. Still could be a bit scary, it's rated 10 for a reason, but my kiddo had a lot of fun anyway. It's her first "real game" that we could play together. She was able to use a controller and got the hang of it pretty quickly. Still needed a bit of help, but it's pretty fun anyway. I got it for her tablet and she's not really needed much help with it.

10000000% recommend using a controller or 2 controllers for co-op. Otherwise, you end up with somewhat awkward keyboard controls, which you can probably remap, but Lego games are great with a controller!

One of the best game sequels. They took what they had with the first X-COM game, took it on a different spin, gave you a different scenario, underwater aliens, underwater craft, underwater missions, along with the occasional above water mission, because Aliens are trying to take over the world again. Different weapons, but still quite a bit similar to the original. Tons of fun to be had to continue the adventure. Recommend playing X-COM UFO Defense and this game, it doesn't really matter in what order, but this is the sequel.

Early Access Review
This app is buggier than all get out. Apparently, they abandoned it, which is sad. It has some performance issues, but I was able to play the couple of videos I wanted on YouTube VR. It's was a really horrible experience getting it to function, but I was able to drag the video out from behind the giant black square. So, was able to watch the 180 VR video I wanted to see that was on YouTube. I'd be much more likely to try and figure out how to download it and run it separately than use this mess of an app. Still, it's semi-usable. The concept is great, but the execution is horrendous.

TL;DR - You can drag the video you want out from behind the giant black box. Also, there's broken icons everywhere. It does work, though.

Updated review:
My internet is pretty awful. Thus, the semi-frequent updates require a large chunk of my download cap. :-( So, haven't got to play as much as I would have liked.

Old review:
Already found out 2 things, I suck at using a sword on horseback and beating the 2-handed weapon tutorial requires skill or quick feet.

Lots of fun so far and I've barely created my character and finished all of the combat tutorials.

It's a fun, easy VR experience. It has a bit of a limited replay value. Though, they also have "racing" and target shooting. Pretty intense, be prepared for a bit of motion sickness, if you're not used to it.
