Oh geez is this game ever addictive, especially if you remember the Rollercoaster Tycoon games of years past. This is a true modernized successor to these games. I put in more than 30 hours in just a few weeks. The campaign is long and a blast (I'm not done yet after 30+ hours) and the Steam Workshop has tons of awesome mods you can plop in-game. The new "employee path" system actually works very well and is surprisingly fun to try to figure out. Highly recommended!

I don't usually buy early access games, but I'm glad I got this one. Mashinky is a highly playable game as of August 2019, and it's fun to try and connect the various goods chains. The developer admirably keeps updating the game on a very regular basis, and the Steam Workshop already contains a nice selection of mods you can use in-game. Worth your support.

Update: 4 February 2015

After more than 146 hours of play, I'm still enjoying this game. And what's more: this game is still being updated and improved by the developers on an almost weekly basis. I'm not just talking about numerous performance updates, but also improvements on the game itself, many of which came from the Train Fever community.

I think that you'll find the game much more playable and responsive than in September. By far most performance issues have been fixed and many smaller and larger additions to the game have made it so it's still fun to play even after 140 hours.

Meanwhile, there is an active mod community that has made it possible to add many dozens of cool new trains and train cars to the game for free and edit it in just about any other way you might want, such as a winter mode, new industries, an updated UI, cool new train stations, and much more. And finally: this month, a new USA-themed DLC will be released for Train Fever by the developers FOR FREE, which will include 50+ new trains and new American landscapes. I'm going to echo my comment from September here: Seriously, if you like transport sims, GET THIS GAME. You will not regret it.

If you even remotely like sim games like Cities in Motion, Railroad Tycoon, Transport Tycoon, or even Sim City, you will absolutely love Train Fever. (And if you loved those games, Train Fever will probably ruin your social life... but that's a good thing, in this case.)

In this game, you get to build a transport empire with buses, trucks, and trains. The maps are huge (even the smallest map size will give you 20+ hours of gameplay) and the graphics are beautiful.

You can build rail lines, bus lines, and cargo lines at will and connect the many towns and industries to each other. If you do it right, the towns will grow into cities and the industries will up their production - which of course leads to more passengers and goods to transport.

There is always something going on; new vehicles are introduced regularly and the needs of towns, cities, and industries change and evolve as time progresses. You start your game in 1850, when only a few steam trains are available, but by 1950 you will have seen a huge selection of trains (including electric and diesel trains), as well as many different cargo trucks, cars, and buses. None of them will last forever, so make sure to replace them with a newer model when they get old!

You can also follow all trains, buses, trucks, and even individual passengers up close if you want, so if you feel like enjoying the scenery (and it is absolutely beautiful to watch), just ride along with your trains. Every person in the game has a set house, a set job, a place they like to shop and a place they work, and you can follow them around if you like. Whether they take your transportation or (from about 1900 on) their own car, depends completely on you.

Seriously, if you like transport sims, GET THIS GAME. You will not regret it.

Very nice shooter, with an amazing story that constantly keeps you wondering what's going on... and in the end, you'll want to go back and replay the whole thing knowing what happened.

Recently bought this game on sale and put 50+ hours in within a few weeks. The game is challenging but never frustratingly so, and the fun level, oh my gosh, let's just say this is the first game in a VERY long time that had me saying "just one more turn"! You will want to learn more about the aliens every turn you play and find out what exciting new ways you can find to kill them next.

If you already own the game but it's on your waitlist: move it to the front and start playing. You won't regret it.

If you don't already own the game: get it next time it's on sale and don't delay your experience of what is undoubtedly one of the best games of the last few years!

This is easily one of the best (and funniest) tower defense games ever made. I played the ArmorGames version all the way through a year ago, and I didn't hesitate to buy this version as well. It has many new levels and other updates that make it well worth the small price tag.

It is obvious that this game is a labor of love and if you like tower defense, this game will not disappoint. It is hard but never too much so and somehow I can play and replay these levels in different difficulty modes without ever getting bored.

This is a surprisingly wonderful game. I never got it before: truck simulator? Sounds boring. But then I got it on sale because I was so curious... and I logged 20+ hours in under a week! Why, you ask? Well, because it's one of the most "zen" games I've ever played. Another reviewer already said it: this game is absolutely perfect if you want to relax and zone out after a stressful day. There is hardly any pressure or frustration involved; just put your favorite music on, drive your truck around and relax. Get this game, now. It's worth it.

Cool game in the time-honored tradition of Battle Isle and Advance Wars. Well worth the small investment... and find me for a multiplayer game when you get this!

Great fun if you like city builder/transport sims. A breath of fresh air after the Sim City 5 fiasco, this much more playable game (from an indie developer - hello!) lets you manage a public transport company in various humongous regions that grow and change based on your work. You can even build tons of different roads and create your own cities from scratch! The tutorial is a bit hard to follow, but you'll quickly get the hang of the game once you just start playing. Plus, there are many different free game guides available, made by enthusiastic players. Get This Game!

You can actually spend a surprising amount of time playing this game. If you like games like Bejeweled, this similar game (albeit wrapped in a cool war story) will keep you busy for ages. I put 50+ hours into this simple yet addictive game!
