Somehow crytek managed to made UI from bad to abysmal. It was designed not just with a gamepad in mind but with a gamepad in hands of half-wit UX intern, who never saw PC. Menus just wasting everyone's time, each tiny thing now need 5 clicks, every menu got tones of submenus with the hidden stuff you need. It's not just awful, otherwise I won't be spending my time writing this, it is beyond reason or sense. Also performance struggle tremendously, I lost almost 30% of my fps.

Developers closed servers for Russian and Belarus players, due to russophobic act of virtue signaling. Ironically we planned to play it with my Ukrainian friend to raise his moral and now we can't. I hope devs at least feel really good about this brave gesture against couple dozens of ex-fans, it almost made Russia change its government....almost.

I'll keep it short. Best co-op on the market. And the best community. I don't feel like I need friends to play 4p co-op, even without voice chat in-game communication brings enough coordination to team-play even on hardest difficulty, which is rare. Tons of weapon varieties, cosmetics, amazing randomly generated fully destructible maps, huge FREE updates, events, unique visuals, great music and sound design in general. I don't know what else could you ask from a co-op game really. ROCK AND STONE!!!

It's the most polarizing and ambiguous DLC and rightfully so.
Dog is helpful in fights, but annoying in general. Theresa's story is well integrated, but you won't find more tedious and boring quests in the whole game. It is plain NPC life and you are that NPC who locked there, you cannot cancel or postpone the quest once it's started. I believe it was designed that way on purpose, to show how grey, repetitive, but at the same time dangerous was medieval life, especially for women. Yet it would be better as 5 minute cinematic. However Jolanka's part of the DLC is really powerful, well written and interesting on all levels. Henry got a chance to meet the bishop and participate in trial as some sort of attorney. And judging by achievements most of the players skipped it, due to awful gameplay of the first quest line.So for better experience you might wanna skip Therasa's part or better watch cinematics and dialogues on youtube, cause story is interesting, but quest in Sasau alone worth your time... as a part of Royal Package on sale.

I bet you think that boring and grindy game only 3 hours long couldn't exist. Desert Child would prove you wrong. Another example how deceiving appearance can be.

Game looks amazing, it's finally time to play it.

Easy way to feel clever, when you really aren't. Not as fidgety as the first game, not as mysterious as the second, Room Three offers few different endings, decent story and lots of puzzles at your service

I highly recommend…. to avoid this developer. They aren’t trying to make a good game, they are trying to make something that's looks like a good game. Freaky awesome and skyhill are functional, no doubts about that, but really really really shallow and boring and basically half-assed. I’m too lazy about writing reviews nowadays, but I just saw this tasteless parody of a game in my library and was filled with righteous anger and decided to warn you all.

Paradox tired of its niche status and wants to be major publisher specializing in strategies. All kind of strategies. They started with the powerful collaboration and then continue with destroying region prices on their games, like most of the big boys do. Yeah, let's make it about politics. It’s not like bullying the way through their loyal community is the new tactic for Paradox. Crazy DLC politic is the great example. But what’s more important is what let them do anything they want and it’s their card of uniqueness. You won’t find any alternatives to paradox games. But you won’t find anything like Eugene’s game either, that’s why SD might be so important to paradox.

Eugene delivered solid gameplay with an uncanny similarity to their Wargame Series. The main feature is the frontline which moves with the units. Neat idea on the surface turns out to be more of a gimmick. Even so, Eugene says that’s the main part of gameplay, in the end, it didn’t really change it, but make it more noob-friendly. And this is the main theme of SD. Wargame series are well known for its total unfriendliness toward new players, the game doesn’t have a proper tutorial, it got 2000+ units you better learn (how they perform and even looks). So they decide to cut the corners. Now we got 400 units, fewer stats for each unit, "autodeckcreator", we lost few tactics; like helicopter rush (no one would miss it, but still helicopters gave more tactical choices), we cannot get around and strike opponent to the back (because frontline shows there we got units, except recon infantry). Tactical choices reduced to constant push-build defense line-push/retreat. Maps became wider and units became sooo much slower, which is make sense but still might be frustrating. People who wished the infantry would be the kings of the Steal division (spoiler alert it doesn’t) would find themselves disappointed. Roles didn’t switch, dynamic didn’t change drastically, artillery became more powerful than ever. Even new stress system feels just like a light touch.

Paradox is… that game is still semi-realistic and really complex for the newcomers, while wargame veterans will get “less of the same”. I think I appreciate the gentle approach, no one want’s to learn everything from the scratch, but at the same time, I can’t find anything that justifies the transfer from Red Dragon to Steel Division. Surprisingly enough SD doesn’t look as good as you might expect, models look shabbier than their brothers from Wargame DLCs. But animation became smoother; infantry doesn’t slide through the hills like they used to do. Anyway, I doubt you would notice it during the game, cause all you need to see is pictograms of your units on the whole wide map. The best new thing is the circle which allows you see how much vision each point on the map will give to you units, that’s what Red Dragon surely missed.

Steal division doesn’t feel like a step back, more like “confident mudding-through”.
