If you're a programmer, enjoy the easy ride and the really cool, fun atmosphere, art style and writing.
If you're interested in programming, enjoy all of the above as well as a nice course in logical thinking that can actually help you learn.
If you're not interested in programming at all, this might not be the best game for you. But I'd still recommend you give it a try, because I really enjoyed my time with it.

It's like a more accessible Souls game with some modern conveniences that still feels just like a Souls game (and can be quite punishing if this is something that's important to you).
Praise the Erdtree!

It's a bit like chess, but more engaging, satisfying and fun. Unlocking more units after your first victory adds even more variety and depth, so it has a lot of replay value, too!
If you like board games or turn-based strategy, you will probably enjoy this a lot.

After installing 5 different Rockstar software applications that you are forced to install in order to play the game you purchased, the Rockstar launcher can't verify my account and doesn't let me play the game I purchased.
There are other companies that force their launchers on you, but this is by far the worst and the reason I won't be playing GTA 6, F*** you, Rockstar.

Confusing, generic, forcing random objectives, but not letting you achieve them unless you figure out the random sequence of actions and buttons necessary. Skip.

XCOM 2 is an excellent successor to XCOM Enemy Unknown/Within. Never having played the original series, I cannot judge how it compares to them, but if you enjoyed Enemy Unknown, you will most certainly enjoy XCOM 2 as well. The strategic combat is still very interesting and challenging, and so satisfying if you manage to pull it off just right, and the different difficulty levels as well as mods make it very replayable.

If you enjoy turn-based strategy, I highly recommend giving this a go.

One of the most unique games I have ever had the joy of playing. LISA is intriguing, beautiful, violent, harsh, hilarious, depressing, thoughtful, challenging, and pretty much most of the adjectives in the English language.
The only reason I could think of not to play this game is if you absolutely detest traditional turn-based combat (it does get a little monotonous). But the amazing atmosphere of this game is more than worth it.
It takes a little bit to get into, but once you're there, it will never let go. Even long, long after finishing it.

Steampunk magically enhanced stealth action. Enough said.
