***UPDATE*** I changed this review to a positive one after they fixed the servers. Ill leave the original one up here as well as a record:

Here is the Helldivers 2 experience:

-Pay $40 (hey good deal maybe ive heard good things and it looks fun)
-install 70gigs (easy pz we go high speed net)
-Unable to connect to server, try again later (ok lets give them the benefit of the doubt and wait a minute)
-Wait 1 hour while the game blasts music in your ear that you cannot adjust or turn off yet cause you havent been presented with any settings. Also your graphics card is spinning up and heating up on a login screen, what why and how is this happening...
-Realize this isnt a queue, people who just attempted to login may get in before you.
-Realize youll be past the 2 hour mark of being able to return the game before you even play it.
-Initiate the refund process and uninstall.

Anyone who accepts this state of a game release and makes excuses for the developers responsible is part of the problem and reading their replies to other peoples experiences has prompted me to leave my own negative review.

OK. Plain and simple, do not buy this game.

Visually: This game feels cheap and unfinished. No care or creativity went into the level design. Looking at a building I feel like im looking at a texture/model from second life in 2002. Its honestly pathetic.

Physics: Laggy as ♥♥♥♥. Something like a vehicle explodes and the pieces sort of just rubberband across the ground before they disappear. Seriously guys this is 2021 we got all this technology and you games looks worse than your game did 10 years ago.

Gunplay: Fine i suppse. Nothing new. Unrealistic and the devs think bullets travel at the speed of smell.

Multiplayer Features: No server browser. I could stop there but ill go a little further. Want to join your friends in a match? Nah ♥♥♥♥ you kid their squads full here is an error message insted EXXX100:20-201212. Oh you want to start a new squad so your boys can join you? Too bad go back to battlefield 4 or some ♥♥♥♥.

Customization: Oh you like customization? In a modern gaming world where games like Arma 3 exist you can pretty much have your setup however you want? No. ♥♥♥♥ you. You can be this black dude who looks like a stray cat that they for some reason modeled with jaundice bloodshot eyes. ♥♥♥♥ is racist af. Seriously go look at it.

Im sorry if you wasted your time on this game. I think what we learned in the past few generations of this title is that they just do not care about the player experience and just want to mass produce some garbage that will make a few dollars. Next!

If this game had multiplayer or coop it would be one of my favorite games. Without that feature its probably never going to be played again.

Giving this a negative review and also trying to get a refund now.. Truthfully the game is quite fun at times but there is one major issue. Play for about thirty minutes and crash. Every single time. Running with a ryzen 9 3900 and a 2080ti 64gig of ram.

Pretty tight game. First few rounds were very exciting.

This game would be good if it were actually full of all the features that the developers promised before they released. Instead what the consumer ended up with is a hollow shell of the game they were promised. I mean this game is honestly no where near complete and its a completely vapid mess. Plain and simple, there is nothing to do.
I don't recommend this game and I will never buy another product from these heartless thieves that produced the game.
