Despite it not delivering on Its promise I was happily going through game and was taking a break from it and looking forward to a much vaunted update when Bethesda decided to start charging for side missions. They cost is misleading too in they say $7 for the second 15 minute long tracker mission but you have to buy the currency in $10 segments so the intent there is to just scam extra money from your wallet in order for you to feel that as you have spare creation currency you will have some extra towards the next cash grab.

I suggest you wait until you can get the entire game for $10.

End of turn, waiting for other devs to roll a 20

When this game was released I mourned the promises that weren’t delivered and just ignored the game. The “Next” release appeared and I picked it up cheap and while my gaming time is now focused elsewhere there is a lot to enjoy in this game and will come back at some time to increase my current 120 hours. Sure, it’s still a superficial experience but if you like ‘Spacey, exploring things’ this may be for you.

There is more depth here than Elite Dangerous although with a very different tone and approach to flying and the stars. It’s dumber than the X series but I was never going to get this for complex trading but this universe feels big even though the aliens are probably even less interesting than those in X.

If today’s version had been the one initially released I would not have complained about the release price. if you are looking at reviews for a reason to buy it then just buy it because the simple fact your here shows it interest you.

The mod scene for the game is also awesome. I personally have just a few quality of life mods installed e.g. hovering so there are plenty of ways you can tweak your experience.

You know, coming back here just to say something positive makes me want to climb aboard again but as Christmas 2018 approaches I have other shiny things to play with first.

Kept meaning to start this game properly but having a patch just do they can sell you micro transactions killed it for me. It was the free mods that made this game workable, Bethesda count on the buyers to fix the game while they just patch it to scam money from you.

We have single player nodding back

Great fun, marred slightly by a cumbersome UI that makes selecting on screen characters quite tricky as clicking on the portrait brings up stats. An odd decision flying in the face of convention but at this price something you overcome.

One shot items in a single player game where replaying is highly likey? Thats just bat sh*t crazy aimed at showing nothing but contempt for their customers
