This is hands-down one of the top 3 platform games I've ever played in my life. The game-play, story, and graphics are near perfect. If you have an old-school bud that you grew up playing side-scrollers with back in the 80s and/or 90s...Call them up, fire Huntdown up, and play!

I adore "Legend of Hand", and so I dove in to Sumatra: Fate of Yandi. Its a quiet, contemplative type of adventure game with some messages here and there, and I overall I very much enjoyed my time. I've been around in Indonesia, the cities in Java mainly and not the jungle, but there is enough in common in terms of people in culture that felt right to me. Its also a unique setting, as I've not run across another adventure game set in a SE Asia island. By the way, Borneo would be an awesome spot for a game...Its got rainforest, beaches, a huge mountain, all kinds of cool animals, and 3 different countries own various parts of it.

A few minor knocks...the graphics in some spots could be sharper and some more yucks would have been nice (though I understand it might conflict against the tone) but despite that really a great adventure game when you are in the mood for something quieter. Good puzzles, well-crafted characters, and a great, original story set in a unique spot that few people know much about outside of the Asia tsunami.

I agree with the previous review, this game is delightfully oddball and unpredictable. The world is filled with weird and interesting characters along with equally intruiging subplots. I have a few minor gripes with a few puzzles and one of the minigames, but again they are minor quibbles and could be retweaked by the time you playthrough. So many times I was grinning, or eager to see where a character or storyline is going to take me, and a handful of times I laughed out loud (one of the achievements and how I earned it destroyed me). Overall, I had a blast with Legend of Hand!

This one is a steal for any price in the single digits. If you like quirky adventure games and/or 70s martial arts movies, Legend of Hand is a must buy.
