I highly recommend Dungeon of the Endless. The game combines action rpg, tower defense, and resource management elements into a rogue-like structure. It's hard to get a bead on what the gameplay is like from watching trailers. There is a lot of planning that goes into each turn. Then once the turn is executed, you have to manage the waves of enemies in pausable real-time.

At first I felt like I was easily mastering the early levels. Then I realized the game challenged me more than expected. As I play, I continue to discover more nuggets of strategy and unlocked content. Dungeon of the Endless provides a ton to explore, and you find it naturally as you go. I have yet to find tedium in that exploration.

Graphics and sound form a retro sci fi atmosphere that I find a pleasure to spend (a lot of) time in. The style and humor tell me the devs put a lot of love into their project.

I've run into a few minor bugs, but am more than happy to ignore them. I once couldn't get an item to equip or sell, but then it started working later (possibly my misunderstanding). Another time I saw a variable name for a line of dialogue instead of the actual text (dev: it was the mini-story between the doctor and warden).

In a nutshell, you won't regret giving this a try. Play it!
