Simply too much love, craftmanship and care went into this game.

I can't write a negative about the game because of some external DRM or publisher politics. I get it. Steam reviews are a way to show customer dissatisfaction. To revolt against sneaky corporate schemes and bullying tactics. We voice our opinions by writing a negative review and hope they notice our complaints. DRM is highly controversial and a volatile subject. It's just a shame it will probably mostly affect the fantastic team behind this marvelous game.

Christian Whitehead, Headcannon games and Pagoda West Games has managed to make a Sonic game that rivals Segas own Mega Drive / Genesis classic. The game feels and plays like old school Sonic. It sounds like one and looks like one. It has some of the best designed boss battles and level designs period. Loop de loops, corkscrews and even popcorn machines. The thrill of the speed is perfectly balanced out by momentum and solid core mechanics.

The soundtrack from Tee Lopes is a perfect blend of old and new. In fact the new tunes are some of the best tracks in the game! Simply an amazing soundtrack.

Sonic Mania pops with lovingly handcrafted sprites, animation and color. It's a thrill to play. Send your mail to Sega and voice your complaints to the guilty party, and rejoice in what is Sonic Mania. I loved every minute of it!

The GAME is an absolutely proof of concept of what passion and knowledge put together can produce!

Big surprise! One of the best western games i've played along with Red Dead. Had no expectations and it turned out to be a sleeper hit
