EDIT: and finished! I played and completed this on release - the remake adds alot more polish and smooths outs some of the more testing sections, its still a bastard hard game when played on higher difficulties, its good for it though.

Many have tried but this game has it all for enjoyers of single player story driven games. Rewarding combat, brilliant engaging and addictive story which is masterfully voice acted, gameplay which doesnt disappoint. It also doesnt lecture people on the modern social fashions. Its just a great game telling a great story in a superb setting which was clearly made with a lot of love.

This is a superb game, it has its wrinkles and knots but the gameplay is top drawer and the story telling is absolutely best in class. A charm that few games these days has and it doesnt lecture you about modern day social fashions. Playing it out to be ready for the next one!

What a great game so far, great story, combat is great too once you bind keys to your own liking. Open world games arent usually done this well, nothing feels copy/pasted and it gently leads you onto things you want to investigate - not because you need it to find that next maguffin to increase your stealth by another 2%.

Love this game. I came from playing Escape from Tarkov (nearly 3k hours). This is a unique game, great setting, great atmosphere, the audio is best in genre to my ears. If you like extraction shooters you cant go wrong giving this a try. Its much deeper and nuanced than it first appears.

I would recommend this game after playing 16 hours. It has its issues, performance can be atrocious and I've had several hard crashes. However, it is still a decent game and plays well, story is interesting and well acted. There are microtransactions in this but you don't need to use them at all.

Fun as long as you get into a squad that has voice and uses it!

I like this a lot, its playing well for me on my 3080/i9 system aside from frame hitching when going into new areas for a small amount of time. I liked the first game a lot and this is a good sequel so far.
23 hours in and I'm loving this game, this is more Star Wars than "Star Wars" of recent years. The combat is great and at master difficulty is pitched perfectly as just about the challenge I like. I did wonder how they were going to integrate and expand upon the force powers you'd clearly learnt from the last game, they have done a nice job of doing this while making it feel you have to "relearn" the basics. The different light sabre stances are a good addition too for some variety in the combat.
Exploration is a also nicely expanded now the move into much bigger areas in a sort of Open World way. The puzzles are fair and satisfying also.
There is a lot that needs to be done on the technical level but the game is amazingly good underneath it all with that "star wars" feeling to it, has great voice acting and the story so far has me gripped. I can't ask for much more than that and think the overly negative reviews on various games "journo" sites are pretty unfair.
I should mention that in 23 hours of playing I've had one crash to desktop. Certainly a lot less than many other games that the typical "games journo" seems to give a pass to.

I know nothing of the Harry Potter books, i fall asleep watching the films. The game is great though, aside from a few technical bits that seem to cause occasional FPS slowdowns, I'm enjoying this a lot. Would highly recommend it and its thumbing my wallet up at the "right-on" gang as a bonus.

This is a tough recommend, but it is a recommend - its doing many of things i look for in a game right, things like atmosphere, tension and there are clear signs of excellent production here. However there are things which take away from it. The melee combat system, which you come to utterly rely on over weaponry can be quite irritating, essentially boiling down to either holding A or D when things attack you, this can get very janky and the game has a habit of placing you in tight corridors, this makes combat with the camera as much of a challenge as the creatures. This leads to many irritating deaths. Your character feels VERY heavy and therefore slow as a result, this would appear to be a genuine design decision which adds much to the tension. The comparisons to the DeadSpace series are most definitely here also, not a bad thing, but it does feel "been done before". I felt the DeadSpace series does this better overall however. Story wise - its fairly standard for the genre and competently written, and acted. At this point i estimate i am little over half way through the game. Its performance issues are mainly down to loading stutter for me when entering new areas, but I've not experienced any crashes. For its flaws and sameness to other games, its still pulling me back on to play it which is why i must recommend it here. Sometimes a game adds up to more than picking out its good and bad points and you just find yourself coming back to it.
