After 145h of game here is my review.
For an alpha game, it is pretty decent. Plenty of content, plenty of stuff to do. Well worth the price. Even more if you get it on sale.

About single player :
it's nice to scavenge and loot stuff around the map. Zombies are not to dumb and will chase you when they see you around. Dog's are fast Mo*** Fu*** that can scare the sh** out of you.
Sometimes you don't here zombies approaching (I believe it's part of the game mechanic) be prepare to have small hearth attack when you have the head in a bin loot scrap and all of a sudden you turn to see a zombie right in your face!
The bad : after like 50h (which is pretty good amount of time for a single player game) you'll probably feel like you know exactly what to do and the game start to become more and more like... loot, empty back, craft, loot... in a eternal cycle which is boring after some time.
BUT you can still have fun with base/defense building.

Multiplayer :
Fun to play with friend on your own server (haven't tried public server yet). The perks tree allows for peoples to specialize in certain skills that makes it faster to be able to loot, build, craft... which is really nice!
The server settings can be adjusted to increase or decrease the game difficulty (number of spawning zombies during bloodmoon, Running or walking zombies...).
You can even change some game settings in your game files such as vehicles speed.

Bugs and game efficiency :
Not a lot of bugs and no game braking bug that I know of.
Big maps can take some time to load.
No lag with high settings with a GTX1070 with the normal gameplay. However, it sometimes lag when there is a sh** ton of zombies running at you on the screen.

Excellent game. Really addictive and fun to play. If you like crafting games go for it!!!!
