STAY AWAY! GAME IS BROKEN! NEEDS FIXING!

[21NOV24] Tried to run the game again, now it wont even get past the Sony Playstation intro sequence before it crashes... and this is after ANOTHER fresh install.

[07NOV24] Just started up a new game for the first time in a year or so. Get through the Intro chapter up to the point where Boozer and Deacon are passing through a tunnel and right after I get through, the game crashes during the cutscene of them approaching Crazy Willie's. This happened THREE TIMES IN A ROW in the SAME SPOT.

Game refuses to launch, and I refuse to spend more than 30 minutes troubleshooting a fresh install when 99% of the rest of my library doesn't pull this ♥♥♥♥.

Voice Attack is a life-saver (sometimes literally) for any game with overly complicated control schemes.
I originally bought this software for Elite Dangerous, but lately I've been using it for Helldivers 2... specifically for stratagem inputs. Coded all the macros myself and it's generated some funny dialogue between me and my friends calling out things like "Bridge, Napalm Barrage!" or sillier ones like "Deploy the Spaceballs Kid's Toy" (it's for the flamethrower for those of you with confused looks on your faces)
Making your own profiles can seem daunting at first, but like most things that have an enormous amount of options you just have to trudge through it and learn the system. Once you get it, you get it.

This game was great/amazing when my controller worked but after some recent update or another I can't get my controller to work on this game anymore. I've looked through too damn many forums and help guides, tried just about every fix people have suggested and it STILL wont work. I'm done. This game no longer deserves my praise.

Can't get past the dumb ass Epic Games link for no logical reason. Refunded.

Now that I think I can be honest about a review, this game is amazing in so many ways.
Good combat and a satirical take on idealized American society, Helldivers takes what Starship Troopers probably should have been and throws in friggin Terminators on top of it. The upside is you dont have to fight both at the same time... yet.

Best part of the game (IMO) is the Strategem system, where you can take these little disposable orbs and call in a multitude of support options. Air Strikes, Orbital Strikes, Support Weapons, Mines, Turrets (auto AND manned), and I can only hope there will be more options as development progresses.

22FEB24: Login wait time has been corrected for the most part by instituting a 15 minute idle force kick protocol. Good on the Dev team for realizing people were not logging out of the game.

09NOV24: I can't stand the instant drowning anymore. Normal people can hold their breath for more than 6 seconds so why do Helldivers drown faster than that? Especially in LIGHT ARMOR?

24JAN25: After the release of the Illuminate and the Urban warbond, the game feels much bigger now. More missions to do, more undemocratic enemies to defeat... still have to avoid water like the plague.

Me: "Another third person shooter with crafting and survival elements? Pass. I have enough of th-"

Friend: "But it also has Pokemon in it!"

Me: "Okay... Tell me more..."

Friend: "They're called Pals; legally distinct from Pokemon but function a lot like Pokemon! Except that you can also harvest them for resources like crafting materials and food. You can even have them work for you and automate tasks at your base camp!"

Me: "OK, I'm in."

[20 hours later]

Me: "So that's about five bosses down, and I still don't quite know where all these bugs are that people keep saying exist in the game... so either they're so minor that I'm not noticing them or they just aren't reproducing on my system. Also Nintendo seriously FU**ED UP by not doing something like this first."

Can someone get the Nintendo dire-hard fanboys a consolation tissue? I've heard there's been a lot of crying on social media lately...

I just want to use my wired xbox controller to play the game. Literally can't get past the opening title screen with any controller inputs when I have zero issues with multiple other titles.
Tired of not being able to play games as advertised.

It's been six months since I contacted the game devs to resolve an issue with assigning the NL to use the DH rule for the 2018 season, and despite all my efforts to mess with the settings I still get an error that the game being played requires the current pitcher to be in the lineup. I was told this would be fixed in "the next patch" back in July, and it wasn't.

Controller users get an obnoxious amount of aim assist compared to mouse users and I hate it
BUT
A game crash broke my Razer Tartarus V2 keypad and corrupted the driver somehow

This is the worst meme I've ever encountered.

Controller Aim Assist should be renamed AIDS Assist because it's so egregious.
