Early Access Review
Having to largely follow the game watching streamers due not having a key, I had my reservations about Stormgate. As a veteran of Starcraft with over 10K ranked games, I have had high expectations for any RTS to follow.

I am pleased to report that Stormgate at least meets my expectations, enough to garner a positive review. Let me be clear, the game has a LONG way to go, but the game as it sits today for an early release game, succeeds.

While others may disagree I respect the focus put on 1vs1 ranked play. I can understand those that want something more out of their RTS than 1vs1 ranked.

The games are quick and each one seems different. There appears to be some balance issues, understandably so but the developers seem to be on top of things.

I look forward to following this game's progress and why I don't think it will meet up to Starcraft 2s success, can any game really follow in it's footsteps?

Please note that while my game time shows only 20 hours , I upgraded from the Epic Games Store base version to the Supernova version and that time did not translate over. I have well over 100 hours played total and hundreds of hours played in GC2 &GC3.

As a fan of the 4X genre as well as the space sim genre, I was excited about the prospect of playing GC4. However I was somewhat underwhelmed at the base game. It lacked the polish that Stellaris had. I had grown accustomed to boredom much earlier in the GC games than I did Stellaris.

Boy did Supernova change my opinion for the better. Not only did it upgrade the game it exceeded my expectations. The addition of the new resource "control" has added in some depth to play. The new research system really encourages a different variety in strategy. You are much more encouraged to pick the selected research to complete faster with still being able to select the option of picking the tech or path you desire. Even dozens of hours into the game I felt like I had only scratched the surface on the entire research tree.

I tend to lean towards creating my own civilization in strategy games and and this game does it better than anyone. I appreciated the AI generated lore as I rarely felt compelled to create my own stories in other games.

What excites me the most is that is the game AT release. We can expect , based on their history to receive numerous updates and DLC to make this game even better.

I have been a long time fan of the strategy genre since the days of Civilization 2. I have enjoyed other space strategy games such as Galactic Civilization 3 and Sins of a Solar Empire. These days I have been struggling to find a game that can keep my attention for more than a day or so..until Stellaris. I have played the game here and there since it's release but have begun to play it extensively and have logged in over 100 hours in the past couple of weeks. The game is such a pleasure to play and I can appreciate the depth of each and every DLC and expansion that comes with it. I would have to say that the combat is better in Sins of a Solar Empire but Stellaris only barely trails it. With each and every play through of a galaxy map I am uncovering and discovering new things. The sound track is best in class and the fact that the game continues to be updated is great. I have had the pleasure of watching some 30 player tournaments and other content that has been created by players. I am eagerly looking forward to the Nemesis Expansion and future content. Here is to hundreds of more hours of play. My ONLY recommendation is that you try to wait for a steam sale or a humble bundle before you purchase all the content as owning all of the content can be quite pricey if bought at full price.

I have been wanting to check out this game for some time. As a huge fan of the original Theme Hospital back in 1997, I was looking forward to seeing if Two Point Hospital could build upon that and create a better game. I have been absolutely pleased to say that this game exceeds all my expectations. With the addition of sand box mode it further adds to the depth of the game. This is hands down the best hospital strategy/sim game ever created. Add to the fact that there continues to be added content is exciting.

Early Access Review
I am a big fan of early release games. My library is filled with them. I don't have the highest expectations for early release games but believe it the path to completing a game can be helped by the funds that are helped by labeling the game as an early release title. Some games would not exist without it.

Some games tend to linger on the early release train for too long and I do not believe games should exist here for an extended amount of time. Typically a year or two.

Now, first and foremost, I am a huge torchlight 1 and 2 fan having poured hundreds of hours into each game. I was excited when I heard the news that Torchlight III was indeed coming. I was slightly surprised however, to find out that it was an early release title but it did not sway me from purchasing the game.

The Good: Torchlight III, contrary to some reviews I have read, plays well. I think there is some depth in character customization. I enjoyed running form area to area and it seems fluid. The classes are quite diverse and I liked the fort aspect of the game. It has some potential and I can see this game going somewhere, much in the ways of Torchlight II if they can get all the bugs and connection issues sorted out.

The Bad: I think the single most important aspect of a game is simply being able to play it. I can barely play 5-10 minutes without the game freezing ending in death because of multiplayer. I tried adjusting settings and sound but continued to freeze and cause deaths constantly. I even tried this on two additional computers in addition to my high end desktop, my gaming laptop and a low end desktop and experienced the exact same freezing. This is so very frustrating that I do not know how the game was released in this stage. They had to have had enough testing to realize this would happen. This bug appeared to happen even more when I played as the robot. I am not sure if that is just a coincidence. The irony is that there is a hardcore mode in the game. I could be wrong, but I do not see how hardcore is even possible in the games current state.

It's frustrating to spend $30.00 on an early access title and not be able to physically play the game. I share the same opinion of many in this regard. I am quite patient and easy to please when it comes to games but usually make my purchases carefully.

Add to the fact that we are 10 days outside of the early release and these major bugs still exist is something of an oddity.

I will add that the game developer does appear to be fixing the bugs, hopefully daily but it does not appear to be quick enough. A part of me wishes that this game will be continued to be supported and could be saved and adored on a long enough time line. I have not seen enough to be optimistic however.

With constant new content and various ways to play, Minion Masters is a one hell of a game. What sets this apart from other games of the same genre is the ability to play 2vs2. BetaDwarf have made some major improvements since it's first iteration. The only complaint that I have is the guilds could see some improvement. It is frustrating not being able to view ranks.

Burnt out with PUBG and Fortnite, I decided to try out Darwin Project with rather low expectations. It's not to say that I expected the game to be bad but the genre is rather saturated at this point. It was free beta weekend and I hopped into the game and was shocked at how much fun I had playing the game. They put a rather good spin on the genre by having the Director and I feel without that option the game would be lost and forgotten. However with this feature, it may turn the genre around. I look forward to seeing what the full release will bring and was sad to miss out playing it in Beta.
