As someone who has played a lot of real life poker ... being able to upgrade Ace High so that it is more powerful than a Royal Flush is both infuriating and fascinating.

I'm only 1 hour in and the only reason I stopped is because I have work tomorrow and I know that if I continue I'm going to get no sleep.

This is the best story writing and atmosphere in a cyberpunk indie game I've experienced since Va11 Hall-A.

This game makes me so sad. It's really fun and everything is good on paper, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the voice acting is bad. Their mocap software must be completely borked too because everyone has ridiculously large mouths.

Despite all that, I'm still enjoying it. Missions don't seem as repetitive/boring as MW5 Mercs was. The actual story is engaging. Just, if only immersion wasn't broken every 5 seconds by some of the most god-awful voice acting I've ever heard.

Still recommend if you're a MW fan. Oh, also .. mech building is almost 1:1 with MWO for clan mechs. You can go absolutely nuts and arm your Star with some of the most busted builds possible, straight out of MWO.

This game is awesome. A great spin on the X-Com style formula.

I hope it gets a sequel because I feel there is a lot of design space to be explored with new/different characters and how their story fits within Homicidal All-Stars. Perhaps bringing in a lot more characters and having the player choose who to bring on each mission would be cool, kinda like Bioware RPG's.

What I took away from this experience:

Have you ever played an MMO but all you did was stuff around with the level design trying to get where you're not supposed to go?

This is like that but you're supposed to try and get where you're not supposed to go. No combat, just pure exploration and abusing the hell out of the games climbing/jumping mechanics to reach new heights so you can ... uhh .. find a new T-shirt or something.

Its a lot of fun actually. Vast open areas, gorgeous visuals with a unique art style. A little glitchy sometimes, especially with UI stuff. If you have a solid enough PC/GFX card it should run fairly decent.

All up, I'm loving it so far after 4 hours of play.

They removed all "self harm scenes" ... is this a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke?!?!?

So much for the whole edgy cyberpunk dystopian feel the game was SUPPOSED to represent.
Way to ♥♥♥♥ all over your game and everything it stood for. Moron developers.

Great pixel art.
Great music.
Great Atmosphere.
A little linear, a little short.
More of a puzzle game than an adventure game.

Ultimately still pretty good though.

Fantastic VR space flight sim!

Its everything I wanted. The addition of Drift mode adds a lot of complexity to the flight combat over the classic X-Wing/Tie Fighter games.

My only complaint is that there isnt more Single Player content and there arent more ships. Given that this is kind of a "risky title" for EA I can understand why the content is reduced but I really hope there will be more to come.

Please buy this game so they can prove there is an audience and get them to make more.

Finally purchased and playing years later thanks to the new VR update as of April 1st 2020. Thank you so much for Adding VR to this awesome game, this is one of the best VR Racing titles available!
