It´s so bland and uninenteresting gameplay that I forgot it directly after I uninstalled it.
I allmost played it an hour and feelt it was so boring and lackluster. I´m kind of dumbfunded why it has so many good reviews. Very mediocre gameplay with no atmosphere and feeling. It´s very wellmade graphics and also the gamemechanics works well. But it just falls short of giving me a feel of "Perhaps I should do the dishes or continue my campaign play in "Put name of other game you like here".

Other games I feelt something for but feel strongly it was pure garbage are:
Killing floor 2 (Super boring arena shooter and more than 40gb install for no reason)
Vermintide 2 (The true feeling of boredom and being an unstoppable hero, Epic graphics)
Deathwing (Fantastic graphics with stupified dumbeddown hordeshooting with no tactics"
MadMax (Good atmosphere of being in MadMax world, None openworld with lackluster combat)

I was surprised that you had to play it tactical in fights and that you also have a squad to command.
It feelt so oldschool and cozy. But I stopped play when I got shoot through the doorway when the enemy couldnt see me. I´m probably used to pixelperfect shooters and. I will try it again and I can just recommend you to do that aswell if you want a nice tactical shooter with a story. You cant go wrong since its free. Also I think its worth paying for it even if its not my cup of tea so much. I love Bohemia softwares games and Swat4.

- Does not start even though I have not changed any settings. When you get into the mainmeny it says "Click any button" then it loads an I come to another menu where I can choose "Main menu", "Manual" or "Exit game". I then tried to delete savegame file and validate files. Still same problems.

Its a fantastic game but its broken.
Get a console version of it instead. This is a sad mess and unbelievable stupid.

I think it´s to buggy to be enjoyed and that the sound dissapeared for both me and my friend at different times made us just refund it. A horror game without sounds is like a Macdonalds cheeseburger without Netflix

I bought it when VR was enabled in the game but now the developer has taken it out from it and you cant play it anymore in VR. So you will get SCAMMED aswell if you buy it for that except when I bought it was in the game and worked fine.

Its like selling a car and then one day the owner of the car wakes up and the seller just took back the engine.
Its unimaginable that its not has been taken down from steam.

I loved "Enigma force" on the C64 and the graphics drew me to try it out.
I am personally not a fan of Tower defense games but I do love rougelike/lite games and dungeoncrawlers.
So when I first read that its supposed to be hard ashell I feelt like "woow this game is not for me" since I do hate bossfights and tidious npc battles where the goal is to figure out a and learn an enemies pattern and repeat it over and over until you learned to master it. I do love Dark souls atmosphere and the feeling the games but I just wish there was a a "Skip boss "button. anyhow :D This game is such a fresh breeze and new thinking when it comes to mixing genrés and it is quite hard to progress and you have to except that dying is a part of it but its also a quite chilled out game since it has a sort of semi-turnbased gameplay where it´s based on turns but the enemies and you move in realtime. Very refreshing. So if you actually read these lines you know that I have not really talked about the gameplay and I will not hehe. But if you like these games below that I truly love, you probably enjoy this game immensly yourself :)

Graphics and atmosphere I feel is quite nice and really neat.

Of course I bought the second game that I thought was a sequal "Endless dungeon" because I hoped it would be more of the same but more expanded. I was quite dissapointed except the fantastic graphics. It´s not a sequal but is kind of similar but it has chosen a more lighthearted and not so tactical path. Based on my perspective. I uninstalled it and refounded it and I probably did not even give it an hour to prove itself because some of the core mechanics of it that this game does so fanastic is missing in that. But do check that out if you want too. So if you enjoyed "Endless dungeon" there is a chance you will not enjoy this :)

A very interesting short choice matters game. I do recommend it even if theres not going to be a longer game of it. The dev decided to create something totally different sadly. This game has good atmosphere and is so unfairly short. Id loved to have a long game of this. I do really enjoyed it much and hope there will be other games like this from someone.

- No gamepad support, made me uninstall.
- Glitchy when you move around
- Quite often you get into deadends and you need to go back to previous areas. Not seen that in other Liminal games. Not in a good way.

Regardless of the above I would have continued playing it if there was gamepad support even if its glitchy.

The most rude developer I ever encountered. I wrote 2 posts about that the game is not warning and that I needed help. Instead he get angry and writes that I shouldnt spam the same post twice. Fair point, but the way he express it and instead of helping out or trying to solve the problem so I can enjoy the game He then reports me to steam when write a new post that I still need help and.

- Not even possible to start
- Extremly moronic developer with a bad attitude

I would not recommend any to buy this game solely on the behavior of the devs. So if the game does not start directly for you I recommend strongly to refund it since there is not really any help to get from the developer.

I have not been aggressive towards other users in the the forums, that is a very false statement and when I asked about answer in the forum you just wrote an odd answer and then locked the topic so I was forced to start new threads to ask the question again. I have no interested in your game anymore because that and the twisted version of how it was in your comment above.

- THE MOST HORRIBLE MULTIPLAYER LOBBY EVER!! Me and my friend tried both to start lobbies with and without password. But to enter a password you need to hoover your mousepointer with the gamepad on the "Enter password line" but you cant klick it with a gamepad and only works with a leftmouseklick. And when you manage to connect it says "Player left the game" about the host.

- Only way to exit the game is through ALT+F4

ITS UTTERLY GARBAGE AND IMPOSSIBLE TO PLAY ONLINE DU TO INCOMPETENT CODING!!



But if you can set this aside and only think of it and see it as a singleplayer It can be fun.

So this review below is based on the arena version of the same game:
This the finest tactical games I have ever played on PC, it´s a must buy if you appriceate to strife for having solid teamwork together with a friend in a very challengin game where you can put more difficulty in it when you want. I´ve only encountered this high quality gaming in terms of tactical gaming in SWAT 4, Gauntlet and Magicka.

Synthek arena is the free version, so I can only base it on this and not on the full game even though I think it´s very similar.

ATMOSPHERE
If you ever seen the Pat labor anime you will get that complete feel of nice gunfights in a sci-fi enviroment.

COMBAT
When me and my friend 777 played our first game I run out of bullets for my SMG so I used my tactical shield and move forward to them to lure them at shooting at me, enemies where also using tactical shields, Meanhile 777 flanked them and shot them from behind or in the side.

You can also make a quick dash if you need to fast move away (Stamina based), stealth is also an option that we haven´t tried yet.

DEATH
I personally very much like that when you die you are dead, it seems when youré friend died you need to go into a special location to revive them much like in Left4dead2 which makes the game get harder if it happens in a bad time.

SOUND/MUSIC
Didn´t think about it.

INTERFACE
A bit odd, If I start the game with a controller, I cant actually name my Multiplayer server, so you have to press ALT+F4 to quite the game since there is no end to main menu button. Then start the game again without touching the gamepad, then choose WITH the mouse multiplayer, click lobby and name it and set password. Then when you are in your mp gamelobby you can connect your gamepad and when you and your friend both are ready press the button start the game up.
