Early Access Review
Every once in a while a game comes along that changes the path of everything else to come. Given that the game is still in development, one must consider the vision more than the substance. Imagine a strange, yet odly familiar world. One where 4 some unexplained reason you come to be on it alone, but there's a twist. Something that has never been done in the world of video games before this very moment... Zombies. The zombies may have 8 all of the previous survivors, but not you. They can be conquered with a revolutionary system of combining one mundane item littered en-masse on the ground with another, sometimes 15 or 16 at a time. The developers are calling it "crafting". The brilliance of this title doesn't stop there though! They have already included some realistic tools in the alpha, like a semi-automatic, high capacity flare gun to create a visceral sense of desperation. Once safe and secure with your inventions, you are left to the main storyline of this singleplayer game, walking around on an island. The plot will provide over 23 hours of entertainment, even in it's current form. Simply press "e" until the key stops working on your keyboard and you may even beat the game. "The Forest" is truly an original title, that has never been seen before. Endnight should be lauded for their trailblazing spirit. If I had 42 hands with which to give thumbs up, I'd still give it no thumbs up.

Car Mechanic Simulator is an immersive mecahnic experience! The attention to detail, and accompanyment of not just two, but THREE amazing musical arrangements ranging from EDM, ROCK, and DUBSTEP really help to make you feel like you are in there getting your own hands dirty. I was blown away by the 5-click-to-remove-anything system they implemented which takes all of the "work" out of working on cars and lets you focus on the fun aspect of being a mechanic, the internet! Ordering parts is all done online in this future car maintenence simulator. I haven't even mentioned yet, but the parts ordering system is so forward looking! There are two options to purchase parts, new, and junkyard salvage. Using the junkyard salvaged parts has the added benefit of not serving a single purpose in the game. These second rate parts can be bought for real(see fake) money, installed, then removed and replaced with new ones after you discover that junkyard sourcing is not acceptable for any application. This game has tought me the importance of a 3 track mixCD, and that a car can be completely taken apart in just about 200 clicks IRL! Buy this game! You won't regret it for at LEAST 25 mins.
