This game is receiving a lot of hate, which I suppose is understandable. It is not the game we were expecting, and for being a co-op focused game, not having a matchmaking system is a huge downfall.

CONS:
1) This game is meant to be played with co-op, although you CAN play solo. But co-op makes the game much more fun due to synergy and increased difficulty. Unfortunately, at the moment, there is no matchmaking, which means playing solo, or get friends who have the game.

2) The biggest letdown is the world is beautiful, and has a very nice atmosphere, but it has so much dead space that it makes you wonder where everyone is. I think a lot of people expected a L4D2 type experience, but this is mainly an FPS with loot, and a lot of empty space.

3)Much of the game feels as though you are just looting and exploring, with battles being an afterthought. Most battles only consist of 4-6 enemies, so battles end before you even get to flex your skills, abilities, or tactics.

4) The stealth mechanics are a joke. There is no execute for backstabbing someone. It just whacks them, and if they have enough health, they will just get mad and alert someone. This game needs some serious Farycry melee executions to encourage a stealth gameplay for those who prefer it.

PROS:
1) It is not all bad though, far from it. The weapons feel fun and sound beefy, audio is great, atmosphere is great, getting swarmed by vampires can get dicey very quickly, especially on the harder difficulties.

2) Many different ways to approach enemies, though it will pretty much always come down to a firefight. But you have options on how you approach it, such as sneaking in somewhere, getting up high somewhere, running in guns-a-blazing, whatever you prefer.

3) Runs fine on my rig. Yet to have any problems outside initially crashing on launch. But that was due to a hardware issue, not the game.

4) Story so far is interesting, especially if you take the time to read the lore. Not much depth to it, but still a fun concept.

Overall, I would give this game a hard 7/10. But it has the potential to be much better than that if Arkane and Bethesda listen to players. This is going to be one of those games that needs a bunch of patches before it truly becomes the game we thought it would be.

What can I say? So far it is basically RE4, redone with amazing graphics, better audio, creepier enemies, better aiming, and smoother framerates. The game so far has been very close to the original, with just enough changes to make it interesting. You may notice familiar areas from the original, but they have been retuned just a tad to make them look better and different. They even PLAY off your expectations of what is going to happen, and pull tricks on you, just to keep the game fresh and not a shot for shot remake of the original. They did this with RE1's Remake, as well as RE2 and 3's remake. And so far, I have been nothing but impressed with where this game is headed, and I am only 3 hours into it.

It is F2P. That means microtransactions. Anyone who has been playing games the past decade should understand that F2P means micros, especially if it is a mobile game. This is a F2P mobile game ported to PC. Of course it has micros.

However, I find the predatory design of micros to be significantly less present than Diablo Immortal and other similar games. I find the majority of the micros in this game are purely cosmetic, similar to how Path of Exile is. Things like character skins, weapon skins, weapon effects, footprints, back pieces, skill effects, etc. I suppose there are SOME micros that could be considered P2W, but they are pretty much not required to progress. There are some micros like inventory expansion and such, but Path of Exile also has that same mechanic, so it isn't surprising to see in a F2P ARPG.

This biggest issue I have seen so far is it feels far too easy, the story is absolutely boring, the voice acting will make you cringe, and there are way too many menus and things to filter through to keep up with everything that is going on. You have your skills to manage, passives to manage, "pact spirits" to manage(Basically an extra set of passive skills based on what pact you pick), the inventory system is a bit clunky and has no way to quick sort gear for locating gear improvements, and there are way too many different types of currencies to keep track of.

BUT people need to also realize this is in Early Access. It is definitely going to have flaws that need to be ironed out, bugs to be fixed, UI issues to be reviewed, user friendly mechanics implemented a bit better, etc. Because it is in EA does not guarantee that the game will turn out great, but it does leave more room for improvement as they take player feedback.

But honestly, the biggest thing about the game is IT IS FREE TO PLAY. You are NOT REQUIRED to spend a dime, yet people complain about the micros like they are shoved down their throats. This game can be played and enjoyed COMPLETELY FREE FROM THE START. If you wanna pay money for micros in a F2P game, and then complain about it, that seems more like a personal problem.

So far this game is not ground breaking or flawless by any means whatsoever. But it can scratch that itch of wanting an ARPG to play. It is all in the eye of the beholder. Some will like it, some will hate it. I am currently in the middle until I get further into the game and see what content is available in the long run.

If you loved the series back in the day, you will be very pleased with this.
If you have never played the series back in the day, this game mixes survival, horror, gore, jump scares, and much more.

It also has a good story, but you need to play all 3 games if you REALLY want to know interesting the story is, and how it builds up over the course of 3 games.

Awesome game! Just what I was hoping for. Basically Vermintide but in the 40k universe, and instead of rats, you fight Chaos.

Missions are constantly rotating, so you always get a fresh pick. The weapons all have their particular uses, so you can hone in your play style with both weapons and the class you pick.

You also get "feats" which are kinda like a skill tree to help build your character a little more to your play style as well.

This game is ABSOLUTELY night and day difference from the closed beta. Closed beta was just choppy, fuzzy, crashing mess. Now the game is crisp, and runs like butter.

If you like Vermintide, L4D games, Back 4 Blood, those types of games, you will like this. Especially if you like the Warhammer 40k universe, this very much shows it, with the dark areas, gritty atmosphere, creepy environments, and crazy looking enemies.

AND its only $40 instead of $60.

I played the Closed Beta for about 20 hours as well as this Preorder Beta, going on 4 at the time of writing this, and I will say I was very pleasantly surprised at the polishing they did in the meantime. This 2 week Preorder Beta is just going to help them refine the game even more, and hopefully at full launch, they will have a smooth launch because of this little bit of "early access"/Preorder Beta.

UPDATE 1/26/23 - I still personally enjoy the game, but many do not. This is not surprising, as there are still issues to this game that are, unfortunately, issues that should have been handled by now. We are still missing major pieces of content, like weapons, enemy types, a fleshed out crafting system, and more.

There is still no real "campaign" or storyline to the game, outside of you piecing some things together overtime as you listen to the banter between players, which may be indicating to some future content, which is what I presume they are doing. However, the story is very limited, and I would suspect anyone not familiar with Warhammer 40k lore, even at its basics, would find the story and atmosphere of the game rather confusing and uninformative.

End game is essentially nothing more than just testing your skills against higher difficulties. Once you hit max level, there is no more use for XP, so higher difficulties provide nothing more than a tougher challenge, and crafting materials for a crafting system that is not fully finished. This could be rectified by a simple "paragon" system for XP, and finalizing the crafting system. You could also have certain high quality, prestigious weapon types that only drop from higher level difficulties, to reward you for your efforts.

As you may have seen, if you own the game, the devs have come out with a letter acknowledging that their game is lacking, and that they will be spending pretty much all of the next few months hashing out the issues, and adding in content that player feedback has been asking for. Hopefully that will improve the gameplay loop to a point where people will continue to enjoy the game, even at end game.

I will still stand by my original statement: If you love Warhammer 40k, and like gory hack and slash/looter/shooter type games, you may very well enjoy this. Especially if you enjoyed Vermintide, L4D, B4B, and other games of this genre. However, if you are not a big Warhammer fan, or want a fully fleshed out game, I recommend waiting a few more months to see if they fulfill some of their promised efforts to increase the fun and replayability of the game.

First off, do NOT go into this game thinking it is going to be like the Batman series. Batman was a solo game, so Batman could do it all. This was made more to be a co-op game, so each vigilante has pros and cons.

You CAN play this solo, like many do, myself included for the most part. But this game pretty much took Batman and split him into 4 different people, each with some of his skills, so each has their benefit to playing.

The game is beautiful, especially if you have a good rig to run it on. The amount of settings you can tinker with for video is quite good, and even running this game on max settings, my FPS is still phenomenal. I have not crashed once, nor has the game frozen up on me.

There is ALOT to do in this game, as there are many NPC's that will constantly be giving out quests or challenges to do, so there is always something to do.

The story is generally OK so far, I am still working on it. I tend to get caught up in all the side quests and things, so I progress story rather slowly.

If you feel this game is too easy, ramp up the difficulty a bit. But I should warn you, after a certain point in the story when they introduce more enemy types, the difficulty curve spikes quite drastically. This is about the point where I would see co-op being very much more useful, as playing solo makes it hard to deal with champion enemies that your character is not specialized to deal with.

This game has been getting a lot of hate, but I think it is mostly because it isn't Batman, which is what people wanted it to be like. Instead, it has its own identity and is made to stand on its own.

You can switch characters at any time, and any time you join a co-op game, you will be scaled with the host so that you aren't overpowered or underpowered. And everything you gain in a co-op game, you get to keep, including items, progress, and XP. If you do quests in someone elses game that you have not done in your own, your game will ask you if you want to replay that quest, or you can simply choose to skip it since you did it with someone else, which is a nice feature for people who don't wanna have to keep repeating everything.

It isn't perfect, but it is a nice, fun game.

I give it about a 7.5/10

Absolutely fantastic remake of the original Resident Evil. I played a ton of it on Gamecube back in the day. It stays very true to the original, but with better graphics, voice acting, and even adds a few new puzzles and areas to play.

This game remains true to RE in a great way.

Very interesting game. Definitely keeps you on your toes.

There are enemies that are "mimics" and they can turn into ANYTHING in the game, so you never know when you are going to get ambushed unless you are very perceptive.

Decently fun game

A bit more of an action game, less like a survival horror. Still, a fun game, especially with co-op.

Story is interesting. Not the best of the series, but still decent.

Only issue is the game tries to run off Games for Windows Live, which doesn't exist anymore, so you need to find mods and patches to get it running.

But it is a game to be picked up if you like the RE series, and its usually on sale for $5-10 and provides many, many hours of gameplay. Also has a few DLC stories added to it that answer some questions. Mercenaries mode also comes back, and has a DLC to double the amount of characters you can use.
