The greatest entry in the series.

Alex has powers, but it's not overwhelming, and rather adds to the emotion to the story. She isn't a superhero, but (with the way I played the game) she is a hero in my eyes.

The game feels overall more human by addressing human emotions in-depth and leaving me in tears. The amount of emotion in this game is a breath of fresh air, without an overbearing gimmick. The amount of detail in this game is a labor of love. During close up of conversations, you can see facial tics, inhaling before speaking, small body language movements and so much more.

It's a beautiful game, and I feel almost ashamed i played this game so late into its release. The Life is Strange experience is almost exclusive to the series few publishers and developers are willing to take up.

Their artificial removal of some features that have been available from the base game of CS1 is disappointing. Water physics have been dumbed down greatly. The feature that they laud is traffic AI, but it might as well be the same or worse than CS1. The game cims need to learn how to yield to emergency vehicles.

The base game and red dead online is great. But Rockstar has abandoned updating this game in both regards

The audacity to ask for labor of love nominations when the game still needs work.

It's been over 9 years and it doesn't even feel or look close to finished. wait until it's released.

I've had this game for so long.

I was a few years into college and this was THE game i would play because of my weak college-budget laptop allowed it. It's been over 10 years.

I've seen this game go from individually designed sprites to 3d models. and then they had their development laptop stolen. an absolute tragedy. It's been over 10 years since that.

the game came on steam, it became popular. I was excited that the game would finally get that polish and be released. It's been nearly 10 years, just over 9 years since that.

the game got a second wind of sorts. that was over a year ago.

I've lost hope.

this game is a labor of love. but it doesn't deserve the award, and i'm glad it didn't

The game gets repetitive towards the middle and I struggle to finish the game.

This game is rated T, meaning any horror aspects of this game is hamstringed by that rating. After the first few hours of the game, there's nothing horrific or scary about this game. here's nothing horror about this game.

HUGE open world, but nothing spectacular. No interiors that stand out.

Pay 2 Win. Honing is a mess that prevents entering content without weeks of grinding. I don't expect hand holding, but man, this is a terrible and exhausting. There were also server issues initially, requiring me to either stay in queue for hours on end or AFK in the game if i wanted to get lunch.

Bots. Bots everywhere.

Unbalanced spawn rates, both too fast respawns and extremely slow spawns.

Takes far too long to start up.

I had to update to Windows 2004 and turn on the baked in GPU Scheduling for the crashing to subside. with v1.03 coming out, it's certainly a lot smoother, but the response time for all of this is poor.

Technical issues aside, the game is overall fantastic. The controls are good, but not perfect. The graphics are great. Story is enthralling and doesn't feel cookie cutter. No DLC shenanigans, no online requirement. A simple story-rich game.

I truly hope Sony releases the next installment on PC a year after, rather than 3 years after, as a PS5 has zero chance of me purchasing it. And, hopefully, a better QA testing team.

-------------------------

Had to jump through hoops with v1.0 to stop the crashing.

With v1.01, the crashing came back with a vengeance. Really shouldn't have to jump through hoops the first time around, and the 2nd time around shouldn't break those fixes.

v1.02 still crashes. Fantastic.

Walking simulator or not, it's a charming little game that gives you a glimpse into the hardships of LGBT. Mechanics are a bit clumsy, however.
