I liked the resource management aspect, similar to FTL, but prefer this game's combat (navigating ships through the map and the micro battles) over FTL's crew-based system. On the surface, this seems like another tactical ship-to-ship game but what kept me going was the incredible story. You definitely feel the weight of your few and thought provoking choices. The balance between the plot progression and actual game mechanics is absolutely perfect and pushed me to play more hours at once than many games before.
