Wow, for an Alpha game the mechanics are surprisingly far along. I didn't think anything was going to stop me playing D3 until the wee hours, but this game is it. The sheer joy of building your first house, lighting your first fire, or if you don't get that far, your first salmonella poisoning is indescribable.

DayZ crossed with Minecraft is how this game is described, and it hits the target. The joy of crafting, the fear of footsteps in the dark. Finally a game that's actually scary. I can't wait to see how the full game pans out.
