RetroArch is a fantastic piece of software allowing users to take full advantage of all their older backup ROM files from classic platforms such as GBC, GBA, N64, NES, SNES, and many many more. Customization is boundless with the source code[github.com] being publicly available and modifiable. Support is easy to receive with such a huge established community. It runs natively on GNU/Linux-based distros, macOS/OS X-based systems, and Windows-based systems. Setup may seem intimidating, but is actually quite easy and the resources available for setup are abundant.

Having this on Steam means a few additional bonuses on top of the aforementioned:
* Cloud-based saves means you can maintain game saves (and savestates) across PCs.
* Steam remote play cuts out the NetPlay middleman that comes with RetroArch allowing you to seamlessly and easily enjoy retro multiplayer titles with friends via Steam's existing interface(s).
* RetroArch launches perfectly from Big Picture mode, truly completing the living room experience.

Also its ♥♥♥♥♥♥ free.

After watching the trailers for this game I was instantly drawn to it because it reminded me of some of the many Kairosoft mobile apps that use a system similar to this one where one must grind points for a specific character and then test it out against other characters of various stats.

The first hours of this game is nice and inetesting with the plot being able to branch in different directions and the playering being able to have different reasons for traning the protaganist. Afterwards, however, things slow down dramatically and it truely starts to feel like a grind.

It doesn't help that the developers decided to implement a daily "degradation" system where skills degrade a certain amount regardless of how much work you put into them. This is later combated with perks that allow the player's stats to not fall below a certain level. Getting the skill points required to unlock these perks is a true chore so it doesn't quite feel worth it.

In all, I'd say this is a half decent game because I personally don't mind the grind, but most people won't be interesting in grinding stats constantly to ensure their character's stats don't degrade into oblivion.

I got this game in a bundle and decided to try it out on a whim. I didn't go into it with very high expectations and neither should you. Not to say this is a bad game by any means; it's very simple, but still maintains an entertaining premise that keeps your attention.

You're expected to build bridges in a variety of scenarios using as much supplies as you'd like, however if you want higher scores at the end of each level, you'll need to make optimal bridges using as little money as possible and minimizing on the use of expensive parts. This adds a decent strategic aspect of the game for those looking for a little more out of the base idea. Having this as an optional end-goal is done perfectly as it doesn't force the casual gamer to strain themselves being stuck on a certain level due to not having the patience to figure something out.

In all I'd say this game is very entertaining, and it's worth a buy. However I'd strongly reccommend anyone looking to get this game to utilize their resources if possible and get it in a bundle, or wait until it goes on sale. $10 for this game is a bit steep.

Battle Time is a simple strategy game that's extremely easy to pick up and even easier to sink hours into. There's no real complexity in the gameplay in of itself, but rather in the stragegies one can employ to win rounds. I had no problems running this game on my local toasteroven as it's not all that demanding.

The only problem I can think of with Battle Time is it's lack of multiplayer, though it doesn't take anything away from the game itself as it can still be very entertaining to play on your own.

I'm almost certain I got this game in a bundle, but even at it's current price ($0.99), I'd say it's worth the buy.

A truly underrated gem. I decided to give it a shot on a whim and so far I'm throughly entertained.

The controls are familiar if you've played any of the recent Smash Bros games. It provides a very simple and easy tutorial for those who aren't. Chaining together combos is childsplay, but still gives you that rewarding feeling after you've landed your hits.

The robot customization is just perfect for a game like this. Your robot comes with a default set of parts that can be substituted later on for better parts with special abilities and statistics linked to them.

As you adventure through each stage, you're eventually met with a boss who provides for a decent challenge at the very end of each section. Once defeated, you're often met with a prize (a new part) with a special ability that will aid you in the next stage up until the final boss (Haven't gotten there yet).

Honestly, I didn't expect this to be such a blast to play and I'd reccommend it to anyone on the fence about making the purchase.

Save yourself the bandwith, the disk space, and the $16.

The Storyline is forgettable at best, and Characters are pretty much on the same boat. Mechanics are interesting... No I lied, they're totally boring. When I play this game, it feels like I'm in a really long line that moves very slowly (yes it's THAT linear...). I was one of those who was really looking forward to playing once I saw the trailers. This title was a real let down though.
