Absolutely great game.

The combat system in this game is one of the best. The small ammo cap on the weapons encourages the player to utilize all of the weapon types while a replenishing chainsaw ensures that you never actually run out of ammo. All of the weapons also stay relevant throughout the game, whether it be through targeting weak points or bursting down a big mob. This, along with techniques such as quick switching, keeps the player engaged through each arena.

The lore in the game is also pretty great. In DOOM 2016, I personally didn't like how they made it seem like the Doomguy was from some mythic demon slaying tribe. I much preferred the original lone space marine from the original series. Well, in DOOM Eternal, it's revealed that they are one and the same. The way they add lore is also very entertaining as some of the audio logs hype up the Doomguy as more info about him is revealed.

Its been a long time since I've wanted to replay a game after I finished it and DOOM Eternal seems like a game I'll end up having to 100%.

Spent 40 minutes trapping people with power cables and beacons.
