Excellent and relaxing game, would give it 4/5 stars if Steam allowed for such granularity in ratings.

- Farming needs a lot of QoL and attention, it is not a major focus of the game, but it feels very tedious and is too RNG reliant to be proper fun for many.
- End game content is VERY RNG based and unbalanced.
- Some parts of the game feel quite empty, particularily compared to Fantasy Life for the 3ds.
- There is a essentially game/save breaking bug that locks you in a void, as of yet (10th of June, 2025) there has not been an update/patch to resolve this. There is a mod that allows you to teleport out of that situation, but that is not workable for everyone. The developer has acknowledged that this issue will be tackled with patches/bugfixes.

Regardless this game kept me fully hooked for over 80 hours and thusly was well worth the money.
The developers seem to be listening to user feedback and are working on patches and updates to resolve bugs and issues at a reasonably quick pace.

Mixed feelings with this one,
as a fan of Unepic I decided to give this game a good try and buy from the get go, and I don't regret it.

This is a really good metroidvania game that suffers from some bad design decisions, be it badly placed hidden soul triggers that add in no way to experience, giving you the same kind of experience as searching for a needle in a haystack, for little to no reward.

Luckily you don't need to indulge in such acitvities all too much, I recommend anyone who plays this game to not spend all too much time searching for hidden collectibles, and if so to just rely on a guide.

Controls are solid, graphics are good, upgrades are thought out well enough, story is unremarkable, voice acting is okay.

Good level design, heavy industrial distorted soundtrack that gets the heart thumping, fast paced, weapons that make you feel kick ass.

All of that while still giving you a challenge.

Haven't checked out the multiplayer yet, from what I've seen single player is where it's at in this title, at least until some updates get released by the developer.

We're all still waiting for the release of Vulkan support, until then this game has some troubles with giving the players the best performance, playing with a 770 gtx I had to tweak the game a ton for it to look good enough while still sticking to 60 fps for the most part.

Still an excellent game, I really love the ability to switch between the classic and new graphics.

Overall I prefer the old graphics, the new graphics often seem to deviate a bit much from the original art, some things actually are less obvious to see, like the chute on the ship.

The sound effects and music is much better with the new graphcis and I wish it was possible to have that with the old graphics.

The voice acting is superb, but also another thing you can't have together with the old graphics.
