Hilarious, wacky climbing game. A session is a bit of a commitment with how long it can last, but tons of fun and many hilarious moments can ensue. You'll need friends for this one, though.

A very short and pretty game but rough around the edges. Animation bugs are plentiful, the optimisation is poor and certain forced camera angles make for a frustrating experience.

It would be a great game if it didn't crash every 10 minutes. It's a really fun game but the technical issues very effectively suck any fun out of it. I strongly advise against buying it.

Well, the walking simulator I've heard so much about. I've encountered artsy games before and I'm no stranger to games without much gameplay, as I believe a good story with nice visuals can make up for that. Dear Esther has none of these things. I completely forgot I received this for free and still tried to refund it.

The visuals are barely passable for its time and will age poorly. I have had fever dreams more coherent than the story. The only good word I can say for this is that the music is quite nice, but sadly wasted on whatever this 'game' attempts to be.

This is the type of game that caters to a very specific subset of people, and in the case of Rebel Galaxy, you get exactly what you pay for: Not a lot.

Missions are bland, upgrade paths (outside of ships) are for the vast majority completely linear upgrades that are one or more magnitudes more expensive than their predecessor. Missions that are not story ones are at best boring, at worst infuriatingly buggy.

Space is surprisingly full in this game, meaning you get to enjoy getting kicked out of warp very often, sometimes by hostiles, sometimes by a random rock or mine. This makes trading runs exceedingly frustrating.

Other reviews have mentioned the grind, but there is one grind to rule them all: Face of Gozu, the most valuable trade commodity in the game, can be easily and reliably found in a system if you know what to look for, meaning you can very easily get yourself a huge ship and excellent equipment in exchange for farming this material, which will respawn whenever you jump out of the system. The cost is that you will have absolutely no fun in the process.

In general, Rebel Galaxy is a tedious waste of your time with a few gems sprinkled in. Your time is better spent looking for a better game in this genre, of which there are several.

One of the most unique puzzle experiences I've ever played, and comes complete with an existential crisis. If you enjoy puzzle experiences in a tranquil environment, I can't recommend this game enough to you.
