This game is the perfect balance of cozy fishing game and subtle cosmic horror. Fishing during the day is pretty chill, but when you go out at night, there's a palpable tension in the fog. Ghost ship horns echo across the waves and your sanity starts draining opening you up to other dangers as you push to wrap up the night and make it to a dock as quickly as possible. The fish you pull up becoming more beautifully grotesque and unnatural than even the real life deep sea fish. And tying it all together was a surprisingly clever narrative that caps the end of the game off perfectly if you're able to piece it all together.

Don't let the small scope and indie status fool you. This is absolutely one of the best games I've ever played, easily standing shoulder to shoulder with my favorite AAA games.

This game is a lot of fun. I played it originally on the PS5 but wanted to pick it up again for PC. It plays very similarly to classic PS2/N64 puzzle platformers and has a bit of that collect-a-thon vibe to it with all the silly little hats you can find for the rot. Combat can be very challenging on the mid difficulty setting Spirit Guide, so don't be afraid to adjust accordingly as you play the game. Graphics are beautiful, soundtrack is amazing, and while there isn't a whole lot of complexity to the story, I found it entertaining in that light-hearted Disney kind of way. It runs very smooth on my PC with an Nvidia RTX 3060.

I generally don't like rogue-like games because I don't like the randomness. But something about this game has hacked itself around my dislike of the genre. I played it originally on Switch but I loved it so much I bought it again for PC with the release of the new Queen and the Sea DLC.

Pretty solid RE game. Not a fan of the episodic nature of the game, but there's still some fun to be had.

This is... not a good game. The controls are clunky and frustrating and the level design does not suit them at all. The story is just all explosions all the time as the game rushes you from one shallow set piece to another. Literally every other Resident Evil game is better than this one. I picked it up because I'm a fan and I have an interest in the story and lore of the series, but you're better off reading a synopsis. Even on Easy the game is tedious as hell.

The gameplay is solid and fun, but just starting now is a bit overwhelming. As a new player they run you through a slimmed down version of the Destiny 1 opening mission and then the only goal you're given is "reach the required level to go to the next area/planet." All of the previous story content is hidden away with an NPC that you have to look up the location of or be told by a friend where to find. I understand the developers want to get you playing with your friends as soon as possible, but they could do a better job of guiding the player to the story. I was enjoying the game much more once I started playing through the story and had a bit more context to why I should care about the game.

One of, if not the best, of the Telltale games.

Definitely the most fun you could have with a machine.
