CS:GO Review
There's not much I can say about this game that hasn't been said 100x in other reviews. I love it. I hate it. I loathe it. And then I love it again. Despite the fact that there are only like 5 maps that I play on, I've logged almost 2000 hours in the game (and many thousands in previous CS games) because of the constant need to improve and strive to be better at. There's always something to improve and there's always someone on the other team who one taps you and makes you want to throw your headset across the room.

Graphics: Despite being a game that's almost 7 years old, they still hold up and look great. The design of the characters, vehicles, weapons and the surround world all fit perfectly together. Great effects throughout.

Soundtrack: In my opinion, it's the best video game soundtrack ever. Over 100 different songs from 75 bands (according to Wikipedia) in all different subgenres of metal. It's just fantastic.

Controls: I played the game using an Xbox controller and found the controls very easy and intuitive. Whether it's fighting or commanding troops, the control scheme is easy and doesn't require a lot of unnecessary movement. The only issue I had was sometimes during battle I couldn't pull up my song list unless I hit the RT button multiple times in a row.

Gameplay: The game was not quite what I expected. I thought this was going to be an action-adventure game where you solely control Eddie and fight with him. That's partly true. I did not realize the RTS-like elements of controlling and directing your crew throughout the game. It works well and is quite enjoyable, I just didn't realize it was part of the game. I will say that at times the combat feels repetitive and the RTS parts of the game all feel identical for the most part, but never to the point that it becomes unenjoyable.

Story: The voice acting in this game is incredible. All of the actors do a fantastic job, especially Jack Black. The story is fun and has a few twists and turns that keep you guessing. I really enjoyed all of the different characters introduced throughout the game, especially the metal legends.

I would say this is an absolute must play game if you're a fan of metal, but even if you're not I would still highly recommend it. It's another fantastic example of what makes Double Fine such a great studio.

TL;DR: Buy it. Play it.

I've owned this game for years. I don't know when or where I got it, but it's just been sitting in the abyss that is my unplayed Steam library. I finally got around to playing it and absolutely loved it. The graphics and soundtrack are perfect. The way the story is told is really awesome and fairly unique.

It's not a very long game (I think it took me about 4 hours to finish it). Towards the end of the game I started to feel like it was a bit repetitive, but never once did I want to stop playing. The game is an absolute must-play and is a truly wonderful experience.

When I first started playing this game, I thought it was going to rely solely on laughs to get you through the game. While the game does deliver there, I was laughing nearly the entire time I was playing, it has surprisingly deep and enjoyable RPG elements as well. A fun combat system combined with a huge array of equipment and "strap-ons" keep you looking out for the next upgrade.

There's not much to say about the graphics. It looks like the South Park TV show which I'm sure was the goal. And it looks great. The music fits the game perfectly and, in multiple parts, adds even more to the humor. There's lots of quests and collectables that kept me interested outside of the main story alone and added more to a game that had already surprised me with its depth.

An easy recommend for me and a must-buy if you're a fan of South Park.

There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said about this game.

For a game that came out 7 years ago, the graphics are still fantastic. It's quite odd, cause the in-game graphics seem better than the pre-rendered cut scenes. A little bass ackwards there. The combat is very entertaining and deceptively difficult if you want to try to pull off some serious combos. The story doesn't have much depth but that doesn't detract from the game at all. The mood and tone set by the game in all aspects just adds to the experience.

An easy recommend and I'm kicking myself for not having played it sooner.

Unless I can summon some otherwordly patience within myself to finish this game, I can't recommend it which is a huge shame. I remember hearing about this game when it launched on the Xbox back in the day and when I saw it on Steam, I got excited to try it out after seeing the good reviews.

Unfortunately, I have to disagree with most reviewers. With the understanding that this game is 10 years old, I'm not going to bother talking about the graphics. It's understandable that they're dated and don't hold up well.

The controls are beyond awful and controlling vehicles is a nightmare. The game crashes... a lot. I even installed the Advent Revising fan patch which is supposed to fix a lot of the bugs and crashing issues. Didn't help much. The combat seemed fun at first, but after the 20th encounter with a pack of enemies, you realize that there isn't much in the way of strategy or diversity. Run around, shoot the seemingly endless string of bad guys, repeat. At least the guns are cool.

The game also seems to have a variety of random glitches and errors which I encountered a bunch in my short play time. Some of them are incredibly frustrating and require you to completely restart the level to resolve. Not sure if these problems are prevalent on the console version or if it's a port issue, but it's just one more thing that makes this game a serious test of patience.

The one redeeming quality for me was that the story seemed interesting and well-written. If I do end up finishing this game, it'll be for story alone. That's if I don't go online and just read about it first.

I'd say avoid this game unless you're looking to replay it for nostalgia's sake. It just seems broken in too many ways.

I was skeptical at first, strictly looking at the screen shots, but I figured I'd give it a shot. I mean, who doesn't want to kill dinosaurs in an FPS? Playing Solo is not fun. But pair with a couple of friends or play on a random server with others and it turns into an awesome co-op game. It's challenging and you can easily lose some time out of your day without realizing how much has passed.

I'd definitely recommend this game for those who want to play with some friends and have a fun time killing dinos.
