Very likely the best platform fighter on the steam market curently. Pretty high skill celling and lots of freedom in it's gameplay. When it came out people said there wasn't a lot of content for casual but with the steam workshop characters it has kind of became the MUGEN of platform fighters which can be very fun with friends, the online playerbase is still quite active too and I've made a few steam friends thanks to it.

With the release of Rivals 2 I don't know how this game will stand the test of time but I think it's a nice addition to any platform fighters lover's library nonetheless, because that's the kind of gameplay that I feel will stand the test of time.

This is actually one of the first few games I pirated cause I had no money at the time, bought if after cause it had no online mode, I'd say that was a pretty nice decision lol, thanks for the memories RoA. o7

You can read my full review here https://justpaste.it/5x9l0 (read it before commenting) but the TL:DR is that it's basically quantity over quality, the game is fun if you're a casual but competitively it's to much random and lacks the core mechanics of a platform fighter. Replayability wise, there aren't a lot of cool tech you can learn and the replayability comes from RNG more than becoming skillfull. The game is overall slow, doesn't feel really good and feels incomplete in general. The netcode seems overall great and the devs are really listening tho. Overall I wouldn't recommendi it at all but if you're just a casual at leat try it with your friends. I don't like notes but it's about a 4/10
