Early Access-recension
More involved than Minecraft and less complicated than Stationeers, Coffee Stain continues to make their games look really pretty and offer lots of adventure without having adventuring as the game's focus. While the hand-crafted game world looks beautiful, it has little to no randomization in the enemies or resource placement, and nodes will always be the same purity no matter how many times you start up a new game. Still, it could be considered better than some other games with very lame and barren randomized world gen, so that's totally up to player preference if that's good or bad.

Devs keep adding content at a decent pace, and there already is a ton of content, but at the moment of this review there are still some items that are "WIPs" and just don't have a function yet.

Additionally, if you don't heavily streamline the production of plates and rotors, you'll be stuck in a grind and be forced to hand craft a lot of the basic materials to get to higher tiers. Before coal power, you'll be babysitting biomass generators all day, and this is perhaps the least fun and most frustrating part of the game if you don't have a load of biomass stored up.

It feels like this game really "gets fun after 8 hours" when you unlock steel and caterium(gold). This is when your conveyors are fast and your personal mobility is upgraded to a point where you can just jump over your factory and zip line on power lines like its Bioshock Infinite but not as disappointing.
