2d pre-rendered animation with low resolution even in 3d live scene, with this price was the deal breaker.

One word: Anti cheat.

Bought it to mainly play it on steam deck. and they added kernel level anti cheat, breaking the game on it. :/

I do not know who originally came up with idea of mixing viking and metal songs, but its surely a match made in valhalla.

10/10 Odin would be proud.

Not going to lie, In first impression I did not like this new turntable mechanic.
I thought they only causes frustration, annoyance, and confusion. along with "color matching system"
(Audiosurf had it and I did not quite like it.)

but when i picked it up and give it a go, I was pleasantly surprised.
even only with keyboard and mouse, controls felt smooth and was not that hard to get used to.
furthermore, small beam that comes up from currently active color part of turntable was in my opinion, genius design making this entire mechanic much less confusing.
(I still mess up my combo quite a lot when color changes, but am pretty sure its skill issue :P)
spin note and effects around it actually makes entire gameplay feel like you are the DJ playing the music, too.

The only downside is that volume of vanilla tracks are small, but since quality of songs are decent and price is only 20$-ish,
I do think I can give it a okay pass. and if you want to, you can fill the gap of vanilla music tracks yourself because this game supports custom track.

My final verdict for this game is that it might have some Flaws, it worths its money considering its still in EA.
and this game is criminally underrated.
