It's OK

I enjoyed this expansion quite a bit, a key part of that is how it can be delved into early in the game so I was able to get into it quickly when I started with the new class that was added, It was a fun challenge for a fresh start and added a fresh feeling for starting a new character instead of the typical push that has become more redundant with each character.

I can see how this can be challenging for newer players who are not expecting the mob density jump from the main game to the expansion, I enjoyed it a ton.

I started playing a game of Civilization VI as the Aztecs and before you know it, I was founding a city near a coastline in 4000BC and researching how to make animals my husband, which was confusing for me since I'm a man.

Soon I was training eagle warriors and fighting a defensive war against France who was pretending to be my friend, I took all Frances people as slaves or killed them and burned their farms, to finally see peace they gave me the entire city of Marseille in which I built a watermill and started training more eagle warriors.

I thought that I would be peaceful from here on out as my people were sick of all the fighting, I should be kind to my neighbors and they would be kind to me. So I started playing more peacefully and building my civilization to be the greatest most memorable country in all the world so I built great schools and universities, I built Zoos and researched how to recycle and invented the internet, I expanded the culture of my people and made them the envy of the world. Everyone wanted to come be an Aztec.

Everything was going well until I met him..

After putting up my satellites and revealing the world I had discovered an island with a man that I have never met before.

He told me his people called him Bapu, He seemed friendly and preached peace. He thanked me for being such a peaceful nation and offered to be my friend shortly after, I built an embassy in his capital and we had a good trade relationship but soon it turned dark...

I had been building resorts on a small island when suddenly it happened. Bapu had declared war on me along with a Chinese man Quin Shi Huang, The Chinese were my neighbors to the north, they weren't necessarily friendly and were always upset everytime I completed a great structure to convince people to come visit me in my country. I didn't realize that he was so jealous or I would have made comprimises.

The wars were going well for me at first.. I had sunk a few ships and defended my border towns against their pushes when it first happened.

It makes me sick to think about, all of those people dying.

My capital city had a nuclear bomb dropped on it, and soon after another nuke fell on another city, and then another and again. It was outright Genocide. The fallout was poisoning my land. I had been a peaceful country for 3600 years, studying the arts and spreading my knowledge around the world and it was all burning in a radioactive flash.

As my people reeled from this horror i was raising the greatest Army the world has ever seen, The greatest Navy and I was going to get my revenge!

I had attacked the border town across the Chinese border and it capitulated easily. My follow through carried with it the taking of more and more chinese cities it was not long until their surrender offering me everything in their coffers and 100% of their income.

Now for the true offender.. Bapu of India.. There will be no mercy for their crimes.

I pushed hard into Indian territories, losing many troops as they crossed the vast seas to his squadron of ships. As I made landfall I was greeted by his army which I struggled to push through, Finally enveloping his first city, the walls were falling as the artillery rained down on them.. The people of the city... all killed.. the city.. burned to the ground. This was just a taste of the carnage to follow, all the cities of India had one by one fallen, Their people killed and their cities burned until only the capital remained... It was too late to stop it must fall..

As I destroyed it his words rang out and I realized that I was wrong in his destruction... An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.. My reaction to his attrocities were attrocious. I felt like I had betrayed my heritage as a proud and noble Aztec and acted violently against my own well being. Every other nation looked at me with horror and disgust as they witnessed me commit these horrible acts one city after another, I was ashamed.

Then a window popped up and said I lost for no reason.

When I looked at the clock it was Wednesday 2 AM, I started playing on Friday at 5 PM. I had played all through the weekend and missed 3 days of work and was for certain fired. My wife left with our two kids and I didn't notice a thing.

I'm not sure what passes time faster, Playing Civ or sleeping

10/10 would play again.

Simply amazing old school action game.
