I'm a few days in to my first character, around level 73, So far i have not felt like I needed to use any build resources to play something viable, I picked a skill I enjoyed using, and have used it and built for it the whole time. I have really enjoyed the character progression so far both in terms of power-scaling, and aesthetics, also the bosses have been loads of fun. My character has no legendaries or uniques equipped, but it doesn't feel like it needs them, just really well forged rares and a few lucky exalteds, and the in-depth loot filters basically lets the game look for the upgrades i want it to for me, instead of personally looking through 100's of items per stage, i only have to look at 5-10. At the end of the day, it's better than D4 :P
