Idle Champions has a very interesting unique take on the idle genre in that you'll need to build up a party that works well together with D&D type characters. There's a lot of characters that you'll recognize from various D&D modules like Warduke, Minsc, and of course, Drizzt. You'll have to use a wide variety of characters to get through some of the later levels but unlocking characters is free to do in the game. It's completely free to play too, I've only spent money on the seasonal passes and some pets that help you "click" enemies and obtain gems/gold. I've been playing on my tablet as well to have a secondary account and I haven't spent anything on that account but have a decent bit of progress.

If you're looking for a new idle game I'd definitely recommend checking this out if you're into D&D! The developers seem to care a LOT about this game as they're constantly pushing out updates, new seasons, new characters and various fixes. I haven't run into any issues with the game as far as bugs go either. They're always pushing free chests in game too with popups that also have you go into Twitch streams to assist with the community and to just give out free stuff constantly.

I'll probably add more to this review later as I always forget to add things but overall I love this game and it continues to be my most "not played" idle game as I always have it running doing various missions.

I really wanted to enjoy this game but it's not built for solo play right now. The game is far too unforgiving and punishing for a solo player. After spending the past 42 hours playing and building up, I set sail on my newly built ship to go into the swamp as my next task. I spent 4 hours getting there because of the debilitating weather effects, fog, rain, night, make it to where you are 100% unable to play the game. Not to mention when this was not happening, the wind was against my sail making it to where I was dead in the water, completely unable to move while trying to defend solo against sea serpents. When I finally make it to the swamp and into a dungeon, which was a while pain on it's own by myself, I get into the dungeon and back out to find that skeletons had spawned above and destroyed my ship in the middle of the water. They somehow swam out and destroyed my boat in a matter of minutes, then were waiting for me at the entrance. About 30 minutes of me trying to then build back up and I die, losing 42 hours of progress because there's 0 way I'm getting back to the swamp with no ship, none of my gear that I just lost and barely any resources at home. I'm not building back up again, there's no way. The first few hours in this game are fun, but once you start trying to get copper it becomes a real drag and very unfun.

In it's current state I wouldn't recommend it if you're intending on playing solo. If you have friends, this game seems like a blast and I've seen a lot of people enjoy it. I do think it has a ton of potential and has a lot of things that I did enjoy about it, but too many negative things at the moment to play solo.

I'm only reviewing this game because of Daybreak's MASSIVE screw up by splitting the game in two to make more money, despite the fact that they said this game was going to be free eventually. They already messed up in my eyes by completely ignoring the survival community and just focusing on everything BR related. Months would go by with no patches of any sort and if we DID get a patch it was minor crap that no one cared about. The game itself is fun, and I enjoyed the survival aspect of it, but I can't support the developers cause they just don't give a crap. I don't recommend anyone buying this and supporting them.

If you haven't played this yet then you're silly. It's awesome, but the matchmaking can use a little work. The classes are awesome, and I'm definitely enjoying playing the Commando.
