a game so difficult to explain that it actually had me pausing when trying to describe it to my friends... a game that i end up fumbling over my words when describing it in its execution that i end up just saying.. you just need to play it !!
the game plays like a pen and paper RPG, there's no battling or action in the game, you've to read a lot so if you don't
enjoy that than you might not enjoy this game.
there are 24 personalities in the protagonist's head, they are ingrained in my thoughts more than the protagonist himself. and yes, you might die and lot.. the game might show you a end screen in 5 mins or maybe in 40 hours.. but trust me, don't fall for it.. don't stop playing until you see the actual credits rolling.
this game puts you in a weird state of hypnagogia, that's the state where we are in between wakefulness and sleep, the game does this with many artistic techniques.
everything is so poetically written and strangely surreal in its description that its just a joy to read.. there are so many
different character archetypes some believable some exaggerated, everything is so surreal that it really does feel like a dream.
this game will give you emotional whiplash and change how you feel, you will even forget that you are even solving a case at some point and just be so engrossed in the world.

Anything i could say abt' this game has already been said. It's a masterpiece and was the first game to be considered art.
Bioshock is something I am grateful for. It is more than a video game to me, it is something that makes me happy, calms me down when I'm anxious, and eases me. Rapture is a place I call home, literally. I've dreamt myself in Rapture, I sense serenity from it despite its decaying state. I am not exaggerating when I say I am appreciative for being born and living in order to play this thing.

I usually play large franchise games, and open worlds. So I kind of deviated from the norm when I tried this double AA game. I was not disappointed in the slightest. <3

This gem aged like a fine coco :'3
IMO this game is very much crucial to gaming industry in general. .
dis game's success spawned apex legends n' jedi fallen order, brought EA frm the freakin' grave. . and it happened whn battlefield games were running stale and battlefront was dripping with microtransaction bs !!. . and we were repeatedly given fake promises abt gd bioware IPs. .and den we got anthem🔪🙂lets not talk abt dat. .!!
bt den, THIS. . THISS freakin' masterpiece came outta nowhere . . launched smacked down between two of the biggest companies yearly release. . dice's bf1 and activision's COD:IW. . and yet scored top on metacritic. .
mui invested nearly abt 95-ish hrs on dis game. . 90 hrs on origin during its glory days back in 2016 and 6+ hrs on steam recently !!
I used to religiously grind through those ranks bck in 2016. . maxed my rank 3 times, went upto G3.44
and after 5 years, mui visited this triumph of a game whn mui somu-chan, mui gf gifted mui the deluxe edition on steam. . went bck and relaunched some of those iconic missions. . and few attritions. . n' mui again got reminded dat how great of a masterpiece dis was. . n' ya, even if respawn decides on revealing TF3 the very nxt day from now or a decade later . . for mui BT-7274 will always b' mui one true titan ❤!!

surely dey didnt think dat ur weakass old hardware running PCs and any base ps4 with 7 years of dusty hardware in its buttcrack would hav any trouble rendering a skyscraping raytracing groundbreaking open-world dystopia more graphically demanding dan the last game dey launched (cough*cough* witcher 3) which also launched in a broken state.
so after witnessing for myself on ultra. . . the blood sweat and tears it must hav cost to make every object reflect every light source with near perfect realism.
all i can say is how dare those publishers/corpos even think about even selling dis work of art as a buggy blurry mess for platforms (last-gen consoles, low-configued PCs) on which no future update could possibly depict night city the way its architects truly intended. CP2077 is a next-gen video game greatly enhanced by next-gen settings dat should have only been published on next-gen machines. . playing CP on old hardware is like watching a Nolan flick on a mobile-device.
dis game and the devs behind it do not deserve the blame for some greedy corpo's mistake.
CDPR letting gamers down, and gamers kicking CDPR while dey r' down is not what anybody wanted. corpo monkey business is inexcusable no doubt but the people hurting the most r' the working class who built nightcity from ground-up in an attempt to take the cinematic story-driven thrills of linear first-person shooters such as bioshock infinite and the narrative legos of first-person RPGs such as the elder scrolls and combine dem into an open-world adventure brimming with crore gameplay content dat gives the player total agency over what dat gameplay even looks like, sometimes it feels like mass effect, sometimes the gunplay plays like doom eternal, sometimes the hacking seems like deus ex, sometimes the swordplay looks like shadow warrior.
but the negative comments hav totally drowned out the round of applause i think lots of staff members in the team could really use right now, dis bummer surely cost their mental health so much more than 2999 INR in the hassle of a refund and now dey've got to clean up the mess some suits on the board made while the entire internet's mocking dem through the looking glass.
after all dat ambition, after all dat unthinkable complexity, after all dat effort, the light at the end of their nine year long cyberpunk tunnel turned out to be a dead meat.
maybe the video game industry can learn from this CP2077 about the reputational risks outweigh the monetary rewards for releasing rushed unfinished cross-gen products with dishonest advertising and maybe just pls maybe the video game community will stop encouraging dat corporate crap by not lashing when games get delayed, and stop supporting microtransactions u dont need so the megacorps start profiting more from games dat push our entertainment to the limit rather dan our wallet.
and now here today in regard to V, jackie, panam, judy, takamura and the john wick himself, i believe dat soon dey'll all have a prime spot in the storage space of every gamer's mind where some characters live on long after we close their software as an engram containing the virtual personality of a fictional friend who managed to shine among the clusters and constellations of memories we cherish like city lights receding.
cyberpunk 2077 is a masterpiece.

journey is about the voyage of life form its beginning all the way to its end. its ups and downs and who we encounter along the way. most games would make this theme kinda explicit through a straightforward story, characters and dialogue. . but journey has none of that. but instead expresses itself in a way only video games can, through game design.
journey has a multiplayer component that adds even more subtext to the experience. . when you encounter another player, their username is never revealed and you cant interact through voice chat, but these restrictions actually enhance the bond you forge with a total stranger. .and without their preconception of gender, nationality or religion . . your and your companion are free to interact on the game's term. . its oddly liberating.
even more brilliant is that you aren't even guaranteed to play through with the same person or even with anyone at all.
all these things and emotions and feelings the game is able to mine from the player, creates a microcosmic experience of life itself and it is no accident, it is purposeful and deliberate game design meant to express an idea in a way only a video game can.
