The game shows promise. I love RTS and this game is definitely a different take on the genre. With that said here are my opinions and pointers. Take these with a grain of salt. As others may have a very different experience then I did.

Some Good
-Somewhat frequent updates
-The graphics are decent for an RTS
-Base designing is very fun. You can base almost anywhere
-Game can last for a while and can be a tug of war

Some Bad
-Terrible Human AI (your units are really dumb sometimes)
-Terrible collisions and pathing with AI (zombies can become stuck on random buildings sometimes)
-While the game can last a long time. It can be boring
-Can be hard to see at night. Even with night vision on

Some Ugly
-Crashing. While i dont experience it often. It does rarly happen
-Horde Mode is clearly not ready. AI gets stuck CONSTANTLY trying to path to you. You will spend most of your time hunting stuck AI zombies on the map.

Overall this game needs a lot more updates for it to be great. For now im fairly happy with what has been updated since ive bought the game. Like the aircraft carrier, The updated second map and many bug fixes. But for those looking at reviews before purchasing. Watch plenty of youtube videos and take your time making your decision.

TLDR
Buggy and janky. But interesting

Multiplayer does not work through steam unless you do back handed methods. So screw this game.

updated my review a few times. The first after just a couple hotfixes. The game was in a much more playable state. I still have problems with the game. But I feel most will dislike at the current performance. But after multiple updates the game itself is honestly in a better place. I feel fine now recommending it to friends when before I would not have. Glad to see the work on the game!

Cons
-AI is in just bad.
Some stand still almost frozen until something disturbs them. Before the hotfixes they used to patrol the same 30ft. But now its a bit better. They also used to chase you down to the ends of the world. But now they seem to be a lot better. (this was my old review) AI still isnt the best but its improving drastically over time.

-Hit boxes and movement
Props and terrain have terrible hitboxes and most of the time you will end up shooting "air." You will also constantly get stuck on seemingly nothing when traversing any terrain. The movement is very clunky and combined with no shoulder camera switch kinda sucks. (Still the same here, itll take time)

Pros
-Atmosphere
Grim dark as it gets. The videos do show the real feeling of the game just refer to them.

-Customization
The guns and rigs are plenty fun and neat to play with. The only issue I have is the presets, kinda clunky and strange.

Things i do not care about
-water system
why do people complain about this? its VERY easy to get water. So much so that if I have a quest for large items. I will ignore water and only look for that. Got up to 25 days of water in one night of gameplay. Easily could've gotten way more also. (still dont understand why this is hated, its so easy to deal with)

♥♥♥♥ nintendo and its simps. Please continue developing this game, its so refreshing to play something unique.

Unplayable with the current hacking and incredible disappointing with the latest updates. Adding content they used to have in the game already. This update feels like overwatch 2 to monopolize more of the game and nothing more.

Game is not really that interesting or fun in my opinion. Matches get boring quick as the main feature of it having random maps really still just feels like the same 3 maps with minor variations. I am sure some groups will like this game and have fun with it, but for me its just not really interesting at all. Maybe once it leaves early access it could shine.

Also player counts are quite low so keep that in mind. Could die out or it could take off.

I play offline so my time played is more like 2 hours. But ill make this short and simple their are only 2 factions to play as. To play more factions you have to buy 8 Bit Hordes and 8 Bit Invaders. The factions while both unique as extremely simple and for the most part boring. The game has a lack of content to my opinion though others could disagree. so here is my positives and negatives for the game
+Old school Command and Conquer vibe.
+Simple controls and easy to play
+Has campaigns and scrimmage for replayablity
+Watch a paladin or orc pummel a tank (if you bought 8 bit hordes)

-scrimmage is boring and uninteresting
-Only 2 factions to play per game bought
-Boring factions
Once again these are my opinions. I would recommend you watch plenty of videos about the game before buying. Good luck commander!
-Battle Control Terminated-

A freaking amazing game. Physics on point. Satisfying kills. Many weapons. Now mod support is fully on its way. This will be a great vr game for anyone to own.

Well to start off I play offline so I have more hours then stated. but id give this game a 9/10

The game itself is very fun and fast paced. While starting out is difficult within 2 or 3 games you will understand how the game works. I believe there is also a tutorial now. The Avatars that you play as were all thought out and desgined well and they are all very fun to play. Even though the game is not finished it is very fun seeing what it already has. The recent tank update for the humans also made me get back into it again.

With that being said this game is an RTS / Third Person Shooter hybrid that is very fun to play so give it a go. I mean come on the first avatar is a T-Rex basically that can transform and fly
