EDIT May 24, 2024: Arrowhead Games CEO stepped down and his replacement is the person responsible for Paradox milking every one of its players with crappy DLCs. Besides this, HD2 is still unplayable in 177 different countries, where PSN is not available.

EDIT May 6, 2024: Sony has decided to not proceed with the mandatory PSN account creation. Democracy has won in Earth, Helldivers succeed once again!

I created a PSN account and it took a lot more than 120 seconds and wasn't as trivial as the community manager said. I had to solve 10 different captcha puzzles to create my account. It took around 10 minutes. Once I logged in, surprisingly, my Steam friends wouldn't show up in-game. I had zero friends and had to either join my friends' using a lobby ID or adding their PSN tag.

I was skeptical about the game once I saw 3 premium battle-passes offering a lot more than just "cosmetics" (they offer premium guns), and it was difficult to swallow this. And now the account linking becomes mandatory to inflate the numbers of a dying gaming network to please their braindead shareholders is too much to take. Not playing until account linking ceases to be mandatory.

: Take2 has decided to close Intercept Games, laying off more than 70 employees. KSP2 is doomed.

Review after one year: Intercept Games and Take2 continue to disappoint KSP fans with: not focusing on fixing performance issues (they are releasing updates every 3 months that fix minor issues), not focusing on increasing update cadence (if the game is unplayable the focus should be on getting it playable, right? but for Nate and his team, the important part is deceiving the community with false hopes and promises).

A Crowbar Collective acertou no remake.

Grind is terrible.

EDIT: in 2019 I made this simple review. Turns out the grind became worse, it's barely impossible to play the game without paying for premium, you either kill 10-15 planes on an arcade battle or you just keep losing money due to repair costs. Realistic and Simulation battles are more rewarding, but you spend 30-40 minutes, most of this time getting your plane to a high altitude and just admiring the view inside your cockpit.

I started playing the game in 2014, the grind back then was much easier. Fast forward to now, I still haven't got a single jet plane because the grind is too much. 1.5 million silver lions for unlocking the jet and you get at most 12k SL per match if you kill 5-6 planes on average, but then you'll lose most of this money due to repair costs.

I'm not going to buy any Gearbox games until Randy Pitchford resigns from his current position as CEO. Why?

Borderlands 3 is going to be a timed Epic Games Store exclusive
Randy Pitchford said that this was a decision made by 2K Games, the publisher. His recent tweets say otherwise. You may think better revenue (88% instead of Steam's 70/65%) is better for developers, but it isn't. This revenue goes to the publishers, not the developers.

The move to EGS is a personal vendetta from Pitchford against Valve and Steam. Borderlands 3 is being sold on Green Man Gaming and curiously, their revenue split is exactly like Steam's. It's not about the money they will get from Epic sales, but about a personal issue Pitchford has with Valve.

Pitchford also lied on Twitter when he first said the decision was taken by 2K (publishers), but in some recent tweets you can notice that he had an influence in this decision, choosing EGS.

"[...] ♥♥♥♥♥ and moan and brigade and stalk my ♥♥♥♥, but at the end of the day when we look back at this moment we’ll realize that this was the moment where the digital stores on PC became unmonopolized."[www.pcgamer.com] - There's no monopoly with Steam, but with Epic Games recent practices we may see their monopoly in the future.

Randy Pitchford is a liar
In the Borderlands 3 gameplay reveal livestream, he said the game wouldn't have any microtransactions. He also said the same thing on Twitter. Then said the game is going to have cosmetic items purchasable with real money (microtransactions). Game Informer published an article about it[www.gameinformer.com], stating that Pitchford's statement was confusing and that the game would in fact have microtransactions. Pitchford lost his mind and started to argue with Game Informer, accusing them of calling him a liar - which they didn't.

Claptrap and Rhys voice actors aren't coming back
Randy Pitchford said it was Troy Baker (Rhys voice actor) that turned down the offer to replay the role in Borderlands 3, after Troy said he'd love to come back and replay his role in the game. Baker responded with "I would fact-check before I tweeted"[www.onlysp.com].

Claptrap's voice actor, David Eddings, is not replaying his role after asking to be paid for his work. He voiced Claptrap in the previous games, without receiving a single additional dime from it, because he was Gearbox's VP.

Aside from these points, there's also the fact that Randy stole the money from Aliens: Colonial Marines and used it to fund Borderlands 2. And he likes underage teen porn.[arstechnica.com]
