Now that Sony has reversed their decision to require a PSN account to play this game, effectively locking much of the player base out of the game they've purchased, I can confidently say that this is perhaps the best shooter to come out in the last decade.

Helldivers 2 fun. The world is fun, the community is fantastic, the gunplay is smooth and the enemies while not individually difficult can and will punish the player for not respecting them.

Incredibly fun, a little lacking in mission variety but the randomly generated maps more than make up for it. Has minecraft and left for dead feels to it. Definitely worth getting, especially if you have friends to play with.
