Somehow a relaxing souls like. Just beat the last boss at I guess 7.2 hours. But I still have a lot of weapons and armor to unlock.
Would recommend. For something under $10, this was really nice.

Yea, it's not as good as Dark Souls 3 or Elden Ring. Still a decent game. If you're new to the series, go check out Elden Ring first and work your way back here if you want more content in a similar style.

Was a really good time until I started a DLC by accident. No switching back to the main game during this hours long pile of boredom. If I ever finish the DLC and get back to enjoying the game, I'll change this review, but it's the worst thing i've played in a long time. The only way I can manage is by following tutorials, cuz I couldn't care less what happens to every single character you interact with in this garbage heap of a dlc.

tldr: if that chick asks you if you want to know how she survived, just say no. ALWAYS SAY NO! I promise you don't care enough to endure hours of playing this slow side garbage.

EDIT: I made it out of the DLC. I think it took about 5 hours because at first I was thinking it would be short, so I went around doing the side missions. Then the hard part begins and you have to take just the right route out, or you "die from a stray arrow" if you happen to go past a hidden boundary.
Guess what you get for enduring all of it! A freaking shield.

Honestly, I recommend the base game. Though, if you include the "A Woman's Lot" DLC in the equation, it's a hard no.
Ignoring that DLC, the game is really solid. Give it a try already.

tldr; if you're asked if you want to hear what's her face's story of survival, say no. I was expecting a cutscene, not an unending pile of mundane quests.
Wow. It's so slow and bad. The character you play feels slower and more incompetent than beginning Henry.
If it allowed you to go back to being Henry and then come back whenever, it would be so much better. But it's just the slowest pile of quests. I still have 2 to go and it just never ends.
Luckily I didn't pay for this and it just came with the special edition, cuz this is the worst thing i've played in forever.

Tough. But a good time. Of all the Souls, this is my favorite. Would recommend. If you've beaten Elden Ring and want a similar experience, come here and enjoy. Two main differences tho. 1. It's a whole lot more linear. 2. No jump heavies.
Good luck.

Weak copy of Dark and Darker. Has some nice changes, but overall I just enjoy D&D more.
The pregame lobby area is weird, as the player count can change when it's not shown for the last few seconds. So it could look like an empty lobby, but then you run into players.

The only good thing here is the PvE is a little more action packed, but that's about it.

I don't know. It's ok, but I can't recommend it when D&D exists already.

Pile of time wasting enemies and the first boss is only "hard" because it's an AoE spammer with 3 health bars. And the first 2 health bars are just a waste of time. It's the bossfight equivalent of walking from a far bonfire back to the boss. Just annoying, when you just want to fight the boss. I felt like I accomplished nothing after beating this boss.

And the 2nd boss is simply forgettable.

It kinda feels like no one gave any kind of criticism or feedback while they were making this dlc, so we got whatever you want to call this.

Don't waste your money.

If you haven't played a Souls game before, you may have fun at the beginning, but the difficulty will creep up on you.

It's a very pretty and epic kind of game. Every enemy will punish you for your mistakes. Would recommend, but you must understand that it's you that has to get better at the game, and your character getting stronger will only make things a little easier. You have to know how to use your character. Hope that makes sense. Good luck.

Though I really enjoyed the gunfights, the menus are kind of putting me off. The main issue I ran into was quickplay. I was hoping that there would be a way to select what game mode you want to quickplay, but no. This wouldn't bother me, but it kept putting me in free for all deathmatches, and I'm pretty sure some maps have around 5 designated respawn points. So you end up spawning on top of other players way too often.

Like I said, I did enjoy the gunplay and fights when they were fair and not spawning people inside each other. The Search and Destroy game mode is different, as the bomb team starts off able to plant the bomb right away. I like the idea. With a little tweaking, it could be awesome.

Team Deathmatch was also pretty good. Round-based, so once all players on one team are dead, you start a new round.

I think I'll come back to this game at some point if they keep working on it.

Overall, I would recommend this game if you have the patience to deal with the early alpha menus and spawn system in death match. I'm just not ready for that kind of commitment right now. (Also really impressed that just 2 people put this together.)
