1.0 Full release lots of changes since the time I played this game since years ago.

Improved QoL
Optimized BB elements and polys
FPS caps easily at 140+ (maybe because I am using a beastly specs)
Tech tree, Skill tree has better progression.
Blood Moon Horde Night got harder depending on settings.

Overall, what I expect from a full release.
Whats going to make it better is MODS.

Played AC3 Nexus up to AC5 since way back and this game is a culmination of all that is what makes Armored Core a game I continue to play and will play if there is a sequel or continuation of the franchise. Enjoying building your AC to cater your skills and the mission needed to clear up to you mastering the smallest detail and timing to dodge the bullet hell that is about to come your way.

Then again you can just find a tutorial cheese build just for story progression

Battle Royale but more emphasis on close combat. Really fun until you meet some of the hardcore players. It reminds me of other games that instantly deletes you out of existence.

I've been wanting to play this game since god knows when and out of the blue they put it on Steam. Problem is that it is buy-to-play. Sure there were moments it went free or have an event where it is permanently yours if you reach X level but I do not have that kind of time to invest.

Few years later they release it FREE for a limited time(today). Lo and behold, just in time since I am not busy anymore.

First thing I tried out is installing it and I ended up going to a TR server. FFS, how did I ended up here when I mostly play in the SEA server. Yeah, I will definitely not recommend this if they cannot fix this issue where the first thing it happen was not even in-game.

They sure messed up the region locking when TR players want to play in TR servers but ended up in SEA, while us SEA players ended theirs. Great way to start getting into the game. This is how you loss new playerbase fast.

I remember playing Gears of War 1, 2, 3 on my Xbox 360 and boy was it fun. The gore and humor was on point throughout the game. Surely, as the story progress, so does the character development, you started liking them and they can end up with just a sniper shot.

Now lets talk about Gears 5. The main purpose as to why you should get it whether at full price or not.

Gameplay: Its all about cover and fire mechanics which will feel clunky for the uninitiated. Though as time passes, you will get use to it. Hip fire does not have crosshair which most shooters have. But ADS does, so its a real take on what it feels if you actually forced to hip fire in a firefight. Melee and executions is what the Gears universe all about. Its disgusting yet wanting for more. More so with each weapon has a unique execution.

Storyline: Its grim, brutal and humorous at the same time. Mostly because of their characters interaction with each other. Even with such a setting that almost makes it impossible. They still make time to make jabs to each other to lighten the mood of the already dark future they are heading to. I won't say its like Game of Thrones but in war some people that you might like might die in the most unexpected way for the sake of character development. You'll start wondering who might be next or who you want to live actually. Heck that happened on Gears of War 3, where the developers even asked the community if they want to let a certain character live or die.

Graphics: One thing for sure is that its a whole lot better since Gears of War 1. Its vibrant and more lush environment. Heck environmental hazards are in place in the game. Instead of multiple stages where you start from A and finish on B, they tried dabbling on a more Open World stages. You get to see what a war-torn aftermath apocalypse will look like. Even the harsh weather is spot-on and can actually be considered hazardous to traverse.

Game Modes: It has the Campaign, Horde, Versus and finally, a new mode called Escape. To know what the hell is going on and what the story is all about go play Campaign. Don't worry it will feel like a stand-alone that won't let you ask to play the previous game to fully understand whats going on. Horde mode is a player versus AI in a last man fortification format. The game will throw waves of enemies at you while getting harder the longer you survive. You get to gear up and fortify defense positions to further help prolong your chance of surviving. Also the characters in the game, has classes that helps in a unique way in fortifying the defenses or dealing damage against enemies. Lets not forget that the game offers leveling system to further improve your favored class. Next is Versus, a typical classic of Player versus Player. Not much can be said that its all about being up close and personal to deal maximum gore and brutality against them. Although you can be on the opposite end of a chainsaw...lol. Finally, the Escape. Now this is an all new mode that is a complete opposite of Horde mode. Instead of holding down the defenses hoping to survive, you now have to plow through enemies blocking your way to your extraction point because you planted a bomb on their nest. With time limit and limited weaponry, you will have to scavenge what you can find and hope that you have enough experience to deal maximum efficiency.

Replay Value: It all comes down with your character classes and Forge. Character classes has unique skills that help improve your fortifications or deal more damage in certain weapons and scenarios. So leveling them up to maximum will take you weeks if you are really hardcore to it or months if you do not have that much time. Forge is a custom map made by communities to play Horde/Escape. It might be a hell of a lot harder, longer or basically flat out impossible. But that is the beauty of custom maps. It was made to be challenged by others whether they can clear it or not by the creator.

If you manage to read up till here, then all I can say is that Gears 5 is worth playing. Simply because its good and developers has manage to reach a 5th game with the same gameplay mechanics and the modes they know works. I mean if it was a really bad game not worth playing then the game would have ended ages ago. Regardless, whether they change the core gameplay or not. Lets hope the 6th game be better as well.

CS:GO Review
20 Years...

From CS 1.0 to 1.3 then 1.6, now I play this game again in CS;GO.
Oh how the time flies and the graphics improve. From a MOD in HL2 to becoming a renown game on its own.
The very definition of classic tactical FPS.

Remembering my childhood days dominating locally and now getting rekt internationally. Still fun. Up to this day, even if its now Free-to-Play. Although it invites toxicity and cancerous community. It is still the game we will always come back to just to have fun or get competitive.

One of the best horror genre games since the 90s had a remake. Whats more I got to play it both of them. Now the remake made it a whole lot better. The suspense of walking around and praying nothing jump at you. The tension of someone chasing after you. Then, scavenging the place for ammo just to survive. DLCs are cheap and even cheaper during sale. Also they have a DLC for infinite ammo(which is also cheap). Even with it, its still scary because of the jump scares at almost every corner. Graphics is drop dead gorgeous, both your character and background. Sound Effects is very important and crisp down to its finer detail. After all, you don't want to hear that loud thumping boots behind you. Everything about it is a remake that the game deserves. Now I want to see the Resident Evil 3 Remake gonna be.
