Is this game in early access? yes.
Are people complaining about bugs and upset the game isn't perfectly polished? yes.
First impressions, the game is great, for the first first day of early access.
Will update when the game is a few months in and/or fully released.

If you enjoy the Battlefield series, you will enjoy this game. I for one enjoy going on 80+ person kill streaks only to get spam reported for exploiting while using a tank or BTR/LAV. Very fun, much recommend.

Was a great game when it came out. Now it's amazing, great mod support, excellent replay ability. May be over a decade old, but is my favorite RTS game on the market to this day.

@Petroglyph and LucasArts Please make a second game for this series, I know you're still watching this game, you released a patch for it last year. Just don't make the next one a Turn-Based RTS like every other RTS on the market right now, that is what killed these games.

While downloading on release, I got a little scared with all the negative reviews...
So far I've had zero issues 2 hrs in. 100 fps or more, no bugs or crashes.
Game looks and feels great, combat is just as smooth as the first game.
Don't believe everything you read, play it yourself to find out.

Edit: 26 hrs in, no crashes, some drops in fps from 100 to 30 but only for 2 seconds at a time and it did not hinder my gameplay. All settings on epic, no issues. Very well polished combat mechanics from the first game. Looking forward to the next installment.

Great game! Only bought it to play the Star Wars Fallen Republic mod...
Learned the game while playing the mod, very in depth with everything from population controls/what you want on each world all the way to how you want your empire to be seen as in the galactic eyes. Only drawback that really has stopped me from playing is when you create a large enough navy and army the game runs like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Less than half a load on my GPU(which is a 1080ti) and full load on my 7700k cpu. So instead of the 100+ frames I would expect i get 20 or less. All this started when I grew my navy to over 1500 power. So back to Star Wars Empire at War mods for now.

As a long time player of this game with the hours put into this game I can easily say this is the best $20 bucks i've spent.
The laughs my friends and I have had in this game I cherish in my heart forever. With that being said for the sweet love of all that is great in this world..can we please, like. really please fix the @#%$!@# ranking @#$%@$% system!
I will of course keep playing but when I can play doubles with my friend in diamond tier and then go play with my other friend in gold tier and find better competition, something is seriously wrong.
I can't see how this game can support making this into a competitive game when we are unable to correctly catogorize the player ranking system.

I am gold 3 in doubles and standard. Usually the first game I play is against a team that is more than likely low gold. Next 5-6 games are teams that are probably high plat.-Diamond. It truely is a joke.
But hey its a fun game, if you don't touch ranked games.
