This was atrocious

Been playing since January 2001
after the new pricing update, I dont think I can endorse this game anymore
The price of membership is the same price as any other mmo with subscription and this games graphics and gameplay hasnt changed since 2007.
It's just flatout greed at this point from what used to be a beloved game by developers and players

If you like space games this is a must play

I hate tetris for starters its a crappy game.
This however at least makes tetris sorta fun but only with friends

they made a dlc expansion and decided to call it an entirely new game (my time at sandrock)
just so they could charge full price.
portia however since this is suppose to be a review.

the only thing this rpg maker is....is a huge money sink.
notice all of the dlc is just images and generator parts
thats because they give you barebone content, practically nothing
the characters are just big headed ugly little chibis because they
are easy as hell to make. The engine, scripts etc are sold by third party sites
so an even bigger money sink.

ok starters
graphics, they are pretty darn good not gunna lie its attractive and brings you in
the town is interesting and the concept of the game is rather good
HOWEVER
the 1 single that that used to be fun to play was the combat
dear god why did they change it
instead of an adventure style game that plays like rune factory and just as fun they decided to....
entirely change it to completely mirror MEGAMAN BATTLE NETWORK...like wtf
no they didnt poll they didnt ask anyone but themselves I guess they just fanboyed over that horrid style and decided to shove it upon the people that have backed their game and already paid for it.
this utterly ruined the game. it was getting decent updates and content but sadly they seem to not really care about the players. I just wish I could get a refund now.

Graphics -A- or B+...... graphics are pretty good for an rts game, not as good as space games tend to be but for this style its really good
Audio - I like the audio way better than the previous titles so A+ on audio
Gameplay - as good as aoe 2, and thankfully not as god aweful as aoe 3, this gets an A-
Story - alright tbh story in aoe games is pretty....bad, yes its historical but its severely lacking
aoe 4 does make the stories way way better but something is missing not sure what but I will rate this a C+ or B- as it is better than the previous titles
Extras - so something this game does that the others do not, is that it adds little in game achievements known as masteries, goals to achieve. It also has levels to show people how much you have been playing. It has daily challenges as well. this makes the game feel, at least in the beginning, less monotonous and gives you a goal instead of just going straight to pvp.
Value - its worth about 40$, I personally dont think any game ever should be over 40 especially ones that will have lazy ass dlc (content that should always be either free or already included)
Over All I'd give this a solid B+ at least,

Finally a game thats fun with only a few flaws.
more people need to play this as its far better than apex, or overwatch, or cod
