So far, a lot of fun. Let's hope the devs don't fumble it with inactivity

its okay, but needs polishing :)

Edit:
End game (mapping) leaves a lot to be desired.
- The game is very slow, which is a result of the "ruthless style item drops" (so, barely any items at all), combined with the "one death => ruined map" design. There's no point in going fast, because trying so immediately punishes you with a ruined map.

- Multiplayer kinda misses the mark too, because of the "one death" design. Revive (which, btw, is a useless mechanic) only works during campaign and not in maps, so why have it in the first place?

The game looks nice, and it's fun to try out stuff. The WASD controls are pretty neat, so there are a lot of positive changes, but the rather drastic changes in the mapping system, the item drops and the multiplayer aspects quickly overshadow the usually fun experience of the game.

At this stage, I would still recommend the game FOR SINGLEPLAYER. If you're looking for a fun multiplayer experience, you're not really getting it here.

Edit 2:
Taking a break from it now. Really not worth the hassle at the moment. Again, not a "bad game" per se, but bad aspects that need to be worked on before I would feel comfortable recommending it to others.
I'm sure most of my current concerns get ironed out in the next few patches (currently, it's 0.1.0 so there's obviously room for improvement). If they don't fundamentally change some aspects though, I would not recommend the game. Too slow in all aspects, be it mapping, gathering items etc. Drops need to be adjusted to be at least 2-3x the amount they currently are, maps need to be compacted down and either items need to massively improve or enemies need to be tuned down. Going from maps taking around 2-5 minutes in POE 1 to around 30 minutes in POE2 is ridiculous. And yea, "iTs YoUr BuIlD", it's not, it's a very basic SRS so it's fine. The problem is that there are basically no improvements to anything as finishing maps takes forever, and a map MAYBE drops 4 yellow items of with at least 3 are ultra crap.

I can easily see the game becoming better gradually, but as of now, you can pretty much quit the game after the story, and that's a bit sad.

it's okay, but not anywhere as good as the hype suggests

Decent game but it has quite some room for improvements. Especially the entire crafting and building could use QoL overhauls so you don't have to micromanage everything. I don't want to go to 20 storages, pick the items out of them, build 3 things, put everything back and so on. Just fetch all the items currently available in my castle when I open up a menu. Way easier, way faster, way more comfortable.

~2500h in. Not worth playing anymore.
Jumping from one bad decision to the next, such as:
* Garbage DLCs that look worse and worse
* Celebrity collabs ("§look guys, that homeless idiot played like 400 hours of hunt. Buy his skins and show us that you are clowns!")
* Bugs keep on coming, with barely any fixes in sight
* Devs don't listen to anything the community says. So anti-cheat stays garbage, hackers and ping-abusers from other regions keep flooding the servers and 5-6 star streamers join 3 star lobbies to "destroy the noobs for content", and then crytek wonders why there's no influx of new players. Probably because they have a garbage time playing against Vombuz and the other rats, Crytek.

At this point, it doesn't really make any sense to recommend this game, let alone play it any further. The devs are tone-deaf and even if they were to listen, you could rest assured that their incompetence effectively destroys any effort they could put in.

The biggest heist with this game was robbing us of our money for a game that can't even pull off a matchmaking job properly

It's really fun when it works though. But the servers are a nightmare at the moment.

Addicting gameplay, lots of unlocks, stages and characters.
The newly added coop is still a bit rough around the edges but still super fun. One of the few games I enjoyed 100%-ing

technically okay but driving at night makes no sense. cop balancing is completely off, can't shake them off whatsoever. getting busted costs you essentially the progress of the last couple of hours. no reason to play if I get rolled back to square one, way too punishing as a mechanic.

29 bucks seems like a reasonable price.
couple of weird choices here and there (like, not continuing with the "APEX" format and instead doing weird naming schemes like daimyo and shogun)
new areas look decently nice, however hunts rarely take you there
new hub has a bit more MH:World vibe to it, but it's a bit sad to see it "in construction" rather than a finished hub. kinda bland.
new bosses are nicely designed but a bit weird in their balancing
overall what i would expect from a monster hunter dlc, so it's okay
