Got this as an Xmas gift from a friend after it sat in my Wishlist for a long while. Was really glad to have gotten it, I've played through the story once and plan to do so again. The music is of course one of the biggest parts of the game, and its done extremely well (with a guest featuring of Serj Tank from SOAD at the end to look forward to). I'm not usually big on scream-based lyrics in Metal, but its hard not to be into this when playing the game (with headphones preferably!).

Really reminded me of when I got Guitar Hero 3 for Xmas the year it came out and I beat it the next day, moving up to harder difficulties to play it through again... big childhood memory nostalgia points there. Needless to say, best Xmas gift I got in some years

I bought Jagged Alliance 2 / "Back in Action" remake and started to really enjoy it. When I heard Jagged Alliance 3 had character creation, I got a little excited and decided to try it.
Personally, I felt like the offered creation was unfortunately entirely half-a**ed. Could only choose from 5-ish characters/portraits, with no options to change their clothes or anything... so really, you can't put yourself in the game.

Now sure, I understand that this is a game franchise that has tons of characters, many of which are carried over from previous games, with added history and character depth, but without modding it the character creation is ENTIRELY just a stat-adjuster for a "Default" character with a custom name.

Besides that, the UI felt too "juicey / flashy" , too new compared to the older simplified (yet nostalgic feeling) controls. Essentially, I feel Jagged Alliance 3 = Far Cry 6 to what Jagged Alliance 2 = Far Cry 2 or 3 : Overly complicated OR under-attempted tries at something new with something old and nostalgic.

Why did we want a Scope-less rifle and bright "Coral Reef" colored weapons skin?

Why are we waiting so long for the Garand?

Even though its not fully released yet, theres plenty to do, see, and play. Imagining when its done, it'll be lengthy like a regular AAA Story. Love this game, and I crave Sushi every time I play.

Played with Vive Pro, and there is unfortunately no Toggle-Grip like Onward, Pavlov, or H3VR have. Firmly squeezing the grip buttons for several minutes at a time is too taxing, even if I could aim anywhere... The hands and arms have to be manually configured to match where your hands are irl (isn't that why I have a camera looking at where my hands are anyway?) and its far too much work to get it right. Tried the auto-generated kill house, and found I could turn the door-knobs but couldn't push or pull any doors open, had to spend six bullets to erase the door to get inside.

Maybe its different for other VR systems, as you can read in other reviews, but if you have an HTC Vive of any kind (as other negative reviews can show) then this game isn't supported for you (yet?).

Somewhat Angsty Backstory Time
I was in Highschool when this came out, during my Junior-Senior years. My parents were going through a Divorce, which was pretty shattering and taxing, especially since the year prior I'd had a bad breakup. My parents then both moving from house to house to get away from each other, sharing me and my younger siblings back and forth on different weekends, had taken a toll, and I decided I was going to join the Army to get myself away from that mess (although I was naively enough pretty sold on soldiering from an early age with GI Joe and the likes anyway). Before leaving for that, in the midst of all the toil and strife, stood out this game : This final amazing and character-impacting story of my youth.

What I would describe as a roller coaster of emotions had lifted me up, allowed me to cry one last time as a child, and proceeded to fill me with Determination. With its intricacies, its outstanding and haunting soundtracks, its ability to instill oneself with vigor and belief, it was able to heal over some of the cracks that had been forming in my growing frame before I would be released into the world as a young adult. Without Undertale, I don't believe I would be a quarter of the young man I am today. It's impact echoes through the halls of my memory, and shall continue to do so as [once again] the last great story game of my childhood.

Rad DLC, love the work they've put into details like the turbans and the FALs. The Ballistic Masks are pretty good quality, too...
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I know all about high quality ballistic masks

Totally recommend this CDLC for its low price and good quality, //Mercenary\\ Contractor Approved!

It ain't the perfect Military Sandbox, but there isn't any better that I know of. If you or a friend knows what they're doing, you can make just about anything. The modding community has so much content; you can turn this game into a War simulator in any setting under the sun : Halo, StarWars, World War 2, Vietnam, Starship Troopers, World War 3, Ace Combat, World of Tanks, SCP... The only limit it has is the creativity and drive of you and your friends.

I can't think of any better way to describe it than the videos on this Steam Store page show. Its a great game, with capability to host your friends or enjoy yourself alone VS AI. It truely is a "First Person Space War" dreamt up of by ages of Sci-Fi loving video gamers.

Absolutely wonderful game. My buddy made me buy it after he had 30 hours on it, and I fell in love with it's style in a matter of moments. As part of my initial playtime, I decided I was going to benefit the war by mining for Scrap and Tech Parts (for researching better gear for your faction of choice during a "War.") and was met with praise and Commendations by those who worked with me and came by to pick up my harvest, where it was taken to factories, by players, to make items like weapons, ammunition, gas masks, grenades and the such, for players. Knowing you affect the outcome of battle by the contributions you make to the team is just something that makes you feel all good inside. The community is real easy to get along with, so jump in and make some friends.
