At the beginning, it's worth noting Wildboy Studios have already made games that are focused on narrative and unveiling mysteries of the game world in creative way. Or should I say, Atone was the first one and their other productions follow the stream. As some may have already noticed, Atone isn't brand new game, originally it was launched in 2019 as part of apple arcade and was ported now to other devices.
Don't take me wrong, I really appreciate they have made effort to let more audience enjoy this piece of art but unfortunately remnants of mobile game past remain. Lack of mouse support, non-existing settings tab (I'd love to be able to rebind some keys) and worse of all, however that might be just my case, low framerate animations and blurry art on resolution I'm using.

Now that we are past some of the game's shortcomings it is time to move to it's strengths.
Story so far was enjoyable, I've enjoyed cinematics most, however sometimes I felt that voice acted dialogues didn't covet emotions characters felt, but all in all, that's good part of the game.
Another thing what bamboozled me a bit was camera perspective. It's different, kind of top-down 2D, but with some quirks. It somehow fits into the style of the game.
The mechanics part I've enjoyed the most, as the player of other rhythm games, was combat. Relatively easy but enjoyable guitar hero simulator. Only flaw I've noticed was key binding that couldn't be changed and I'd love to be able to rebind those 1 2 9 0 keys.
Last thing that is a big surprise are easter eggs hidden in the game. I won't go into details, just go and explore yourself and be rewarded. :)

All in all, if you are looking for story-driven game in really unique graphics style accompanied by beautiful music and don't mind some quirks existing from mobile past (that don't really influence gameplay that much), the game is definitely for you!

Despite its simplicity, the game can be addictive. The combination of arcade and puzzle game turned out to be very interesting. The icing on the cake is the story told, sometimes in a funny, sometimes in a tragic way.

The variety of the visited worlds, objects found there (in multiple universes), as well as the music that accompanies our travels really stimulates the imagination, arousing the desire for further exploration.

From the purely technical aspects, I really liked the attention to detail, such as the animation while standing on the edge of a cliff or changing the color of "emotions" around the portrait of the characters during conversations.
