TL2 has elite diff with optional permadeath. Pretty fun so far. D3 seems cool too. Would it not be easier you pickup TL2 and join us?

Dude! You're playing TL2 but not Diablo 3 with me? The feels man, the feels... :( If I was working I'd gift you and Chi a copy! The combat is so visceral and fluid, and when you take out a 8 group of enemies in one swing you FEEL it. I've been playing Hardcore lately, which is permadeath. Adds a complete different vibe to it.
