I played a fair amount of the beta and find it really enjoyable. It's very similar to Fallen London in gameplay style, but I prefer the writing style and setting here. There's a lot of moving pieces to interact with - you can follow a lot of different narrative paths, and there are a lot of in-game distractions - drugs, sex, injuries - and though it can require some patience to unearth the mysteries of the story (which I'm still working on), the writing is worth it if you enjoy interactive stories. Worth checking out for sure.

I found elements of the story interesting for sure, and I enjoy slice of life games and games that have some relevance to society. But the mechanics were a miss for me - terrible janky animation and FPS control, and the writing felt pretty generic - and while I was enjoying it enough to finish, the game crashed for me and while it looks as though there was an auto-save function in there, it was not well-documented and my game was not saved properly, so I lost all my progress. Can't recommend.

(Note the 13 hours was because I left it on overnight, due to the fact that I couldn't tell if there was a way to save and I didn't want to exit out without doing so.)

This was a solid interactive fiction game. The primary draw was the writing, as it was extremely well-written, and I enjoyed both leaning into well-worn noir tropes and where it differed from them. It also had a nice style that was point-and-click adventure but with a lot more text to read than usual. It's a fun few hours of gaming and I'd recommend it.
