Absolutely delightful point-and-click with fantastically goofy lovable characters. My only real issues came with the difficulty of some achievements and how some of the collectable's "hitboxes" are specially finicky, but if you're only playing for fun and not focusing on completion you're gonna have nothing but fun with this game.

Stone warns you not to "expect any gameplay" which is a very bold way to present itself. As a short interactive story you're already not expecting much in terms of gameplay, but every game like it has had some sort of hook or mechanic that helps it distinguish itself agaisnt the others, and yet Stone wears the "no gameplay" badge with pride.

Since there's no gameplay, you're really here for the story and the atmosphere. And it's alright. It leaves you wanting more, not necessarily because you'll be asking for a sequel, but because it's so short and straightforward that it almost feels like a prologue or a prequel to something else.

So if not for the gameplay, and not for the story... why play Stone? Well, for Stone himself. I wanted to play this game to play as the chunky stoner Koala detective weating a hawaiian shirt. And that's really all you're getting here. And Stone himself really makes me wish there was more to this game than what there is: Stone looks like a point-and-click protagonist. He would definitely have a lot of funny quips about the items in his inventory, or the stuff he can interact with, or the places he goes. I wanna know more about his life, what he did before and after the events of the game, wanna know more about his relationships, etc. And none of that is here.

Stone feels like a prologue to something else. And I really hope that's the case. I want to see more of Stone in future installments. But what is here now isnt enough, and it's frustrating how much it leaves you wanting more.

...Also the graphics are a little rough at times, not bad just very blandish, specially the characters. Feels like the excellect character design is being held back by the 3D models. The music was nice though.

This game is like a vintage automobile. It might not run well or even at all at first (there's an easy to follow guide to fix that in the Steam forums), it might be a very bumpy ride, with a lot of outdated parts. But once you get it going, be ready for a wild, memorable experience.

This game feels like if the PS2 Silent Hill games let me play the real world version of the town, full of dialogue written by the writers of every codec conversation in the Metal Gear Solid games, and I think that's the highest praise I could ever give a videogame.

Fantastic game with a wonderful time-rewinding mechanic, although if you wanna see all the endings (which I feel the game almost encourages you to) be ready to have YOUR time played with. There's no way to skip some parts of the narration, the narration itself is great, but the 5th time you restart your playthrough and you hear again what's happening over the isles of Boreas before you can make any input, you kinda get sick of it.

Short and sweet. All the fun of the classic point-and-clicks of old without any of the unfairness associated with them. I only got stuck two times and both times were entirely my fault for not noticing or forgetting something obvious.

Big fan of the setting and characters too. I have no qualms with doing a little crime to help Barney find love.

A forklift simulator with a story. Pretty challenging at some points, but otherwise it's short and sweet. Just make sure you're playing with a controller, specially for the more enfuriating missions.

Really fun and funny game that fully rewards exploring the levels. You can either just do your objective and get done in like an hour, but you could take a journey across all the levels and find so much to do. You can also go back and replay them to get everything you can out of them, and you're probably still going to find new things you didn't find on your first run.

After hearing about this game on a podcast I thought it would really click with me and got it on the Summer Sale, I love the worldbuilding and the setting and the writing, and the way you have to interpret the requests.

However I have a problem with the game. The speed at which the text advances is just a bit too slow for my reading speed, which ends up being quite annoying (I saw an article that said you can speed it up by holding Enter, but it never worked, and I desperately kept trying other keys to no avail). This is just a minor issue when first getting through the game, but there's multiple endings, and you have to replay the game to get them all, with the slow text, and no skipping any already-read dialogue. I just can't imagine doing it, so I'll stick to one ending.

I know that the speed and pacing is probably very deliberate, and I shouldnt be complaining about it slowing down a less-than-one-hour experience, but when any other game has a slow text crawl problem it's annoying, so its even more annoying when a whole game revolved almost entirely around dialogue does too.

I do think this is a good game with a compelling story that people should try out, but I cannot possibly fully recommend it without the speed being addressed. Just letting me advance the dialogue with Enter or adding a setting for text speed would do so much for my enjoyment of this game, and would make me want to revisit it.

I really enjoyed the Prologue and the Demo and I'm looking forward to the finished product!

I do have some grievances though: as everyone has pointed out Dennis shows up too often. I saw theres gonna be a way to disable him in the full game but that seems to drastic I think just being able to toggle how often he shows up would be better. Also I'm consistently throwing away trash so I usually don't have anything to hit him with and by the time I've found something he's done painting, so I would like if it there was an item you can't throw away that you can use to hit him, or at the very least let me use the broom (if that's already something I can do, I missed it).

As for the painting that everyone else seems to have issues with: I like painting enough, I do think walls get too grimy or scratched way too quickly (its only been a day and I already have to repaint the interior?). As for the minigae itself it's fine I just think its a little unintuitive. You're moving the roller up and down, so I feel like the bar should be a vertical line instead of a circle, it just doesn't seem to make much sense.

Lastly an issue with the Prologue itself: A lot of the achievements seem to not be working? The main one seems to be the lockpicking achievements, since no matter how many times I lockpick a trunk I can't get the achievement for "lockpick 1 trunk". It also took several retries to get the Superstar achievement even though I consistently hit near perfect when fueling, and despite throwing what seems like hundreds and hundreds of pieces of trash away, I can't get the achievement for throwing 100, and I even made sure, I keep throwing trash away but the counter on the steam achievements page does not go up (the counter is stuck at 0 for several achievements too, I don't know if it's an issue with steam itself or if the game isn't counting things properly).

Anyway the only reason the achievements thing is frustrating is because I really wanted to get as much out of the prologue as I could so I specifically replayed it to try to get all the achievements and try to do as much as I could but it's just not working.

Aside from those inconveniences, the game itself is really fun and chill and I just wanted to keep playing more, so I'm just excited about the full release, and will be following any updates closely.

I have never been so happy to play a game. This game had me smiling all the way through, but it also had me feeling all the way through. Every single character is memorable, you can decide in any way how you want to tackle game, the music is amazing, its revolutionary, it's groundbreaking, and it has ruined every other game Ive played afterwards, as they cannot live up to Undertale. Please, play this game.
