Hands down my favorite game of 2023.

Positive points
+ Amazing OST.
+ Combat feels nice and dynamic, with each character bringing something unique to the fight.
+ High quality pixelated artstyle and animations (but this one is up to personal preference).
+ Loads of variety (enemies, their attacks, environments, ...).
+ Relics (settings that are toggable) adjusting gameplay, making it easier/harder for those who want to adjust their challenge.
+ The story is amazing. Very silly at times, but often also very serious. I both laughed and cried. The story was also way longer than I expected it to be, which was a nice surprise.
+ The achievements make sense. You earn almost all achievements by 100% completing the game.

Negative points
- There is a single achievement which requires quite a bit of skill in timing hits and blocks, which makes 100% completing the achievements quite hard.
- The hint system for missed treasures tells you which zone a treasure is in, but at times it might be nice to have a more precise location because some zones are quite big.
- Travelling back to previous zones can be quite tiresome, since you have to go through other zones if those are on the only path to the zone you are trying to reach. This issue is somewhat resolved in the late game, since travelling becomes easier.

Conclusion
This game exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I started playing I was hooked on the story, the characters, the artstyle, the OST, ... . It took me about 45 hours to do a 100% playthrough of the game. Even when not playing the game, I now find myself sometimes whistling some of the songs from the game. Definitely worth playing!

Positive points
+ SHAW.
+ Amazing graphical style
+ Loads of different environments.
+ Combat is smooth.
+ A lot of enemy diversity.
+ Character progression feels very rewarding.
+ Hard boss fights.
+ World explorations is fun.
+ Grubs (collectibles) to collect!
+ Small quests to complete for rewards.
+ A lot of the achievements that showcase feats achieved in game.
+ There's no grindy achievements.

Negative points
- There are a lot of hard achievements that are not achievement hunter friendly.
- You'll need to complete a few different playthroughs of the game in order to get all the achievements.

Conclusion
This to me was a very fun game that reminded me a lot of Ori and the Blind Forest, but way more fun.
Defeating bosses and getting new powers which enabled me to explore new zones; I had an absolute blast playing this game. Some bosses took me quite some time to defeat, but all the bosses felt fair to fight. The feeling of defeating a boss, and being able to progress/get rewards was very fulfilling.
I can't wait to play Hollow Knight: Silksong once it releases!

Positive points
+ Amazing graphical style.
+ Secrets.
+ Fun combat.
+ Hard boss fights.
+ LOADS of secrets.
+ World explorations is fun.
+ Puzzles hidden in plain sight.
+ The game tells you how to interact with the world as you progress.
+ Collectibles.
+ A TON OF SECRETS.
+ All Steam achievements are fairly easy to hunt for achievement hunters.

Negative points
- One puzzle requires out of game knowledge.
- Some areas in the game are (intentionally) very dark, which makes it hard to play in a well lit room.
- The bossfights were really though (which I liked) and proved a real challenge in an otherwise chill game.

Conclusion
Play this game blind! Knowledge is power in this game, and it is very fun learning about what everything in the game world is about on your very first playthough.
There's a ton of hidden secrets in this game, which made exploring the game world extremely fun.
All the achievements are reasonable. There's no achievements for finding every secret in the game, or opening every single chest, etc etc.

Good points
- 15+ Well designed levels to play.
- Fun achievements to hunt for 100% completion (no grindy achievements)
- Multiplayer. Play with your friends!
- A lot of Workshop levels that are really well made as well.
- A level editor in game to create your own levels. (You can use custom textures)

Bad Points
- €15 is on the higher end of what I'd pay the content in this game. But worth for sure when on sale!
- Level editor doesn't allow you to play sounds (for when completing a puzzle etc.)

The combat in this game is super satisfying and varied.
You can sneak up on them, or go in guns blazing.
Every type of robot has its unique strengths and weaknesses, which you can exploit to your advantage.
There's also multiple weapons at your disposal, making the killing of robots even more varied!

It's an extremely fun exploration game where you visit different kinds of planets. By doing so you learn the history of what has happened, which in turn makes you able to prevent it from happening again.
Knowledge of the in-game universe is very important, and is brought in such a way that I didn't mind it at all. It involved a lot of reading, but as I was progressing in the game, the universe really grew on me. I was really invested in figuring out what happened, and why it happened.

Early Access Review
As of the game's full release (Version 1.0 - September 2022)

Positive points
+ All battles are double battles (2vs2).
+ Character customization.
+ Exploration in this game is fun and rewarding.
+ Co-op mode (play the story/fight Temtem with a friend)
+ There's Luma Temtem (like shinies in Pokémon).
+ Amazing visual art style.
+ Music is on point (especially some of the battle themes).
+ Great world/Temtem design. Everything feels unique.
+ There's sidequests which unlock optional content.
+ The first Temtem in your party follows you around!
+ You can breed Temtem (with a fertility system).
+ Player Owned Houses, with loads of furniture.
+ Daily/Weekly quests to earn you some pansun (in-game currency)
+ Teleportation which allows you to move quickly from point A to point B.
+ Lairs, requiring a party of 3-5 people to work together to be able to face a Mythical Temtem.
+ Both Steam and ingame achievements to work towards. (Steam achievments are some of the in-game achievements)

Negative points
- No multiplayer PvE activities besides the co-op mode and Lairs
- There is currently no in-game way to check the map for specific locations, unless you are in that zone already.
- Player Owned Houses don't serve any purpose, besides looking nice.
- Some of the in-game achievements are VERY elitist, and not achievement hunter friendly.
- The pricetag of this game is quite high.
- There is a PAID battlepass, which gives purely cosmetic rewards.

Conclusion
If you love Pokémon for the story/collecting aspect of the game: Get this game when it's on sale!
The story and areas are great! Collecting all Temtem also has been a great amount of fun for me.
There's also a couple of daily/weekly quests to do, that can keep you coming back to this game on a regular basis. Luma (shiny) hunting and going for kudos (achievements) can also be a fun timesink as well.

In my opinion the best VR game out there.
With its difficulties ranging from "easy" to "expert+", everyone can enjoy this game.

I played this game using a HTC Vive
This is an amazing "Escape The Room" kind of game, which took me about an hour to complete.
Every small object that should be interactable IS interactable in this game.
This makes it very satisfying to pick object every single object and look for clues.
Movement is also very good, and the game makes use of elevation as well.
Having you look at things up top and at floor level too.
The only downside in my opinion is the price (€10) for only one hour of playtime.

Positive Points:
- Great visuals/environment
- Good puzzles
- In-game hints

Negative points:
- One hour of playtime (for me)
- It costs €10

tl;dr
It's a very good game, had no issues with it on a HTC Vive, but it has a rather high pricetag.
I'd say the game is worth it, but I bought it during a Winter Sale for a reduced price.

Early Access Review
I've done one playthrough of this game with a friend of mine, and I can speak for the both of us if I'd say we enjoyed it a lot. There's not too much variety in monsters and rooms, but having them randomized does help a lot.
We started figuring out spawn points of items relatively fast in rooms we had already been in.
Climbing in this game is extremely fun to do; and we never said no to an opportunity to do so.
Melee combat is a bit weird; but using guns and magic was extremely fun!

Things I liked:
+ The randomly generated dungeons
+ Climbing in the dungeons
+ Looking for hidden treasure everywhere
+ Controls are smooth
+ Progression system
+ The magic is extremely fun to use

Some downsides:
- All monsters in a room spawn in a single wave, so you know you are safe once you kill the wave.
- This one is kinda personal: I got motion sick when using my touchpad to move. (But no fear, teleportation is a thing too!, which I switched to after my first dungeon)
- There's only a small amount of different room layouts. But still plenty to have hours of fun!
- Melee combat feels weird (swinging with weapons)

Keep in mind that this is written during Early Access. This game has amazing an potential, and I really enjoyed my playthrough (killing the final boss) with my friend. I will be returning to this game for sure!

tl;dr
It's a fun game for €20. You can tell it is still in development, but I've played about 4 hours co-op with a friend of mine and we had tons of fun exploring the dungeons.
