It's a short, nutty puzzle platformer / collectathon at heart; yes it has flaws - controls and camera can be frustrating and checkpoints unforgiving at times; but it's a squirrel with a gun and who can say no to a fluffy little weapons specialist? The gun-as-double jump is such a fun mechanic, and it's the little things which lead to many laugh out loud moments of discovery. Squirrel facts. Acorns spilling from pockets when people trip over. The chiropractor. The sad birthday party.

I say to myself, "I shouldn't be having so much fun with this" - but as a squirrel afficianado, it's only natural. I'm already keen to see what's next; more areas to play, agents to deal with and secrets to find.

I wasn't quite sure of what to expect when I threw on the headset, but there it was: my blood sugar levels went right up, because these adore-a-ball little furballs make the sweetest sounds and are just awww-inducingly cute! The controls and cueing are instantly intuitive, and new mechanics that you'll need to progress through the worlds (tools, furballs, target effects - mirrors, heavy objects, material types etc.) are steadily fed to you as you progress through the levels.

If you're like me, someone who's not played a lot of angry birds, you will need to do some problem solving to get through as you use the qualities of each type of furball to knock over the baddies using as few furballs as possible to achieve stars for a level and get the highest score. Got friends on Steam? Well the good news is that they can easily see your scores and lord it over you when they beat you :D

Completing all the levels in a world opens up a new world, new tools and furballs and minigames so the content in here feels quite generous - and although I haven't unlocked it yet, there's a level editor once you beat the final boss. It's also casual enough that you could jump in and play for a half hour.

If I found that I was beating my head into a level for a little too long, I could always go back for a score chase in the mini games, or just to play with the furballs in their "natural" environment - there's lots of polish and detail, things that show a lot of love has gone into this game. I love that each furball type has a unique personality that shines through in textures, animation and sound design choices. Even the background music was spot on, and I didn't touch the volume at all.

Three hours after I put on the headset, I'd had a heck of a good time in this world. I'll be back for more! See you soon Fluffy & Icy!

Excellent. Strong storytelling coupled with challenging gameplay makes for a polished, entertaining experience that also manages to educate the player about history.

Great coop play, good couch game. Different play styles accommodated with different classes, challenging levels that make you work together.

Can't see where this can go from here, sorry. Sure, this is a demo, but games probably shouldn't be released this early, does no favours for the developer or people playing.

Love this game, replayable party fun that everyone can get into. Load your own music and away you go - only to find that there are 10 other people who've played that same song and scored better than you! Intuitive, challenging and physical - one of the easiest to pick up and play.

Great experience, well worth taking the time. Never appreciated how tight the conditions were, and while some of the transitions were a bit stomach churning, that added to the experience of wonder for me.

Excellent fun, laughed my way through this whole game. Would love to see more cartridges appear! So many jobs could be simulated here..

Devilishly moreish, the temptation is always to play just one more hand. It's sometimes cruel enough to make you hate the dealer, but when the cards fall in your favour, victory is all the sweeter. I love the mix of deck building, combat and dungeon crawler. Simple yet effective.

As a fan of the series, this was my first foray into PC gaming for AC. Loved the world, the detail was gorgeous and the experience was true to the formula we all know. Was concerned reading initial reviews, but no issues really for me. Bugs for me were most evident in multiplayer with missions bugging out as NPCs lost the plot. Also my first time in multiplayer.. which, while enjoyable, tends to descend into a deranged sprint to objectives a little too quickly. Would be more fun with known players who are interested in stealth. The companion app was also useful for reading more of the material and getting more depth.
